I'm glad I bought the express and watch EP13, if not, I might think the story went downhill.
For me, Ep 11 and 12 is tasteless compared the first 10 eps we watch so far.
Luckly, the story able to maintance that quality in Ep 13. This ep is so good and expand the story wider and more complex than the earlier.

Yeah, there's no option for Top comments and New comments feature. Making it hard to track some good comments.

That's possible, at least I saw the clip Wei Shao kiss Qiao Man's forehead. The hug also happen. But for the kiss that you wanted, it seems not visibile so far. Specially Ning-ge said on livestream before that there's no kissing in TPOB. 😭😭

If they went full adaptation from the novel, it will not became broadcast friendly. 😂😂 They even wouldn't pass the cencorship review 😭

Up until now, Ep1, Ep5, and Ep8 was the best and the ones I dare to rate 9.
Ep1, Wei Shao open the curtain truly capturing my interest toward this series and live up to my expectation. His subtle expression of shock is just good. He really capture the essence of someone that got mesmerizing upon seing the beauty for the first time.
Ep5, OMG! That sequence/scene where the Xiao Tao, the maid, begging and pleading around the soldiers to let Qiao Man enter the city is just heart-wrenching. I didn't expect that from a support character to be able to make it felt alive and resonance with me.
Ep8, What an twisting and revealing ep we had. I thought at first, love-seed and romance start to bloom within them. But no! I didn't expect the scheming and mutual suspicion are the one that sticking out between Wei Shao and Qiao Man, intensifying that the tension of conflict is still strong between the two.

Alright, let's calm down. We can't satisty everyone need. Just let them be. No need to engage. We here to enjoy this, after all, this wouldn't last for long. After it ended, we might regret spending time over something so useless as minded those people. 😅
Ignoring them is the best courtesy we can offer for them. 😊

I'm considering getting Express full package, but it only allow App watching. Up until now, I always watch VIP Eps on PC, access it with browser and watching it from wetv website.
Watching on phone it's just.... not satisfiying.

That first time, when FL give the Panyi's Seal not because of love, but she got deceived by ML. Thinking he is upright man after she hear and saw ML's rightous act in front of the immigrant people. She is too naive. Well, she is after all, no matter how smart she is, is still a little girl.

I'm worried Tencent might loose some screw in their head and follow iQiyi route. You know Demon Hunter, right? Zuer previous drama has supposed to have HE. But iQiyi ask A.I and decide to make open ending instead. 😢
thought open ending is not bad, but it taste bitter for this kind of story (TPOB).
