I think every drama has its own charm. But yes, this drama is really good at fleshing out all of its characters, including its antagonists. Particularly the female characters, they each have a backstory to let the audience judge for themselves whether the characters' situations justify their actions (good or bad) ☺️❤️

I guess the Marquis might be telling Jin Qi to marry a 2nd wife cause Lan Xiang hasn't given him a child yet... From the spoiler I saw, the Marquis only ever has daughters, but he and his mother really want a son to inherit the family.
