Ppl also forget Xuan and XL are ENEMIES. Their sides have been at war for many years and generations. While XY is an innocent victim, XL is doing this bc of his military duty and loyalty. It’s not like he maliciously tried to drown her for fun/with no reason. The duty vs love conflict is THE theme of their whole relationship.

I agree. The makeup and costumes for the other beasts are super disappointing as well. It looks like they just used a sharpie for some of them (whiskers, dog mouth, etc)
