The writing is lazy here. The mom is supposed to be smart but she is ignoring OBVIOUS red flags to achieve this extremely upsetting scene. She is the biggest fool for believing her enemies, ignoring the maid crying, ignoring the suspicious clues. The drama is still enjoyable but definitely need to not take it at face value. 😔

What dangers could the the empress dowager pose? Why would she go after Wei Rao? So far, she hasn’t done much and actually said she wants Lady Li and Wei Rao to stay away from her bc they are too alike/too scheming??

What did the Wei Rao/A Chou do when she realized her mom is not really her mom and made her a slave to feed the family? Does the fake mom face any repercussions? Hopefully their parasitic relationship is OVER.
Anyone else bothered by the choppy, flawed editing? It seems like editing team rushed to get this finalized and messed up some scene slides? There isn’t a smooth transition in some scenes and it goes back and forth in a confusing, choppy way. The scene where the marquis throws his sword down at FL is an example.
The story development style reminds me of a short revenge drama..one big scene after the next, details are glossed over. Not a bad thing but not what I expected…
I wish her well and luck in her future. It’s really sad to see the stories of her falling ill and now going to war with her agency. :(
I am not familiar with the Chinese film industry and legal system, but all of these negative news seem like bad signs for her. Is her film career likely over? I would be heartbroken, but her mental health and wellbeing matters most so I hope she will be happy no matter what happens.
The way this story is told is a bit messy and this is a low budget drama, but the plot is REALLY INTERESTING.
I find it interesting how both FLs are the same person. They represent the good and bad in that person. I think the morale of the story is there isn’t a completely good or bad person. Rather, it’s a balance of ying and yang.
Overall, I am enjoying this more than the high budget dramas currently airing. I hope the drama keeps up its momentum and gets even better.
