Exactly. Yan’s army is the real threat to Prince Ping Nan. The army is only loyal to Yan family. He will have a mostly defenseless empire once yan’s family is eliminated

In Ep 1, vengeful YL beheaded Duke Xue’s daughter and throws her head and another’s at the officials in the palace. However, we don’t know what happened to Duke Xue or his son in this alternate universe. Can a novel reader pls spoil or tell me about their demise in this rebirth universe?

How will eliminating Yan family benefit Duke of Xue?
Maybe I missed something but I don’t understand why Duke of Xue think getting rid of Yan family is a good idea UNLESS he is on the rebels side? The reason why everyone is so freaked out by Yan family is the Yan family control the troops. Duke of Xue KNOWS they are not traitors (hence why he has to fabricate evidence) so WHY does he want to push them away and get rid of the only family that gives them a fighting chance against rebels?
The drama is pushing blinded greed/ power struggle as the reason. Is this it? It seems so weak and dumb imo.

Sadly, I am not getting hooked like I was hoping to be. Also, I know the animals probably didn’t get hurt but I hated the horse race scene. Will try watching again tomorrow. :/

Not much has happened within the last few episodes. It’s just been GZY TALKING about how he is going to pass the first trial and the 2 brothers TALKING about how they will expose GZY’s supposed illegitimacy. Yes, we had another Gong death and Lady Wuji’s true identity may finally be exposed but I’m getting sooo bored with all this talk and little to no development in plot.
Idk if I believe it or if it’s a good thing since the ML would be competing with another of his drama, MJTY, and both dramas would be airing on same platform.
Interesting. I am no expect between the 2 culture costumes but I know ancient Japanese costumes were inspired by Chinese. I can’t remember what dynasty but these differences/similarities seem too nuanced to be an issue imo

Why does Wufeng leak the news there is an assassin amongst the brides? Seems like self-sabotage and making their mission more difficult. They could have had 3 potential chances vs only 2 (and the Gong family is still suspicious after the one died that there are more assassins).
I don’t think their reasoning (kill one to keep one safe) makes sense bc the Gong family didn’t seem to suspect anything before this news leaked?
