I agree! I think ML knows too after immortal Li (the guy who writes the mortal love story) told him the story changes based on the god’s innate personality and actions, which is out of immortal li’s control

Don’t get me wrong, I usually like and sympathize a lot for 2nd male leads but I find the one here so petty, annoying, and a straight up bad friend. It’s hard for me to tolerate him
The biggest surprise for me was how prince Xu Ming got a warm welcome back to the heavenly realm. I thought there would be an awk silence, evil eyes, or even boos/whispers LOL

Totally valid viewpoint. I believe the author made 3 flawed MLs and from the comments/discussion threads, it’s apparent most viewers have a fav and one they cannot stand.
To be fair to CX, he did save XY and Jing from the maze. Additionally, he had his men give her enough spiritual energy long enough for XL to get there and save her (XL said she would have died if she didn’t get the spiritual energy from them). I think these actions seem less impactful bc his men carried them out (rather than him personally), but without them, XY and Jing would have died in that maze.
I also liked how he chose to avenge her, rather than gaining political support in the Central Plains by letting it go (what FL and his sister advised).
That said, he is not my fav bc he uses her, and it makes me feel icky that he asked XY to spend time with Jing and FL.
Where did FL’s brain disappear to??? It’s annoying how FL is so immersed in this life she is falling for all of the prince’s tricks and has forgotten all her deity wits
I have a feeling female lead (and I) will cry a lot when Lu Hai Kong and his love for FL no longer exists. I feel like we’ll get a scene where she will break down over this after Lord Chu Kong regains his consciousness
Im enjoying this drama so far but how are they going to fit the next 5 lives in remaining 28 episodes?! The first 2 lives took up 10+ episodes. The pacing needs to pick up A LOT.
