In the book Nueng was 34 and Anueng was 18. But the drama added 2 years to both their ages to minimise the controversy over the large age gap. In Thailand, a person isn't legally an adult until they are 20 (unless they are married). So, the drama is playing it safe by having them both legally adults by Thai law.

Even though I've watched other dramas that are technically better that "blank", I'm enjoying it more than any other drama I've ever watched. I can see myself watching the entire series over and over in the future, something I've never done before with any of the 150+ dramas I've watched.
