This drama's writing was hands-down the best thing about it (though I did love the leads too). Only complaint I had was that it took 5EVER for the girl to even realize she liked Han Shuo. I got so impatient waiting for something to actually happen with them.
This was THE most realistic and relatable drama I have ever seen. JK, it's a wild rollercoaster of crazy events…
This is how I felt^^ definitely a guilty pleasure drama for me. It's been a long time since I was so invested in a drama that I marathoned it, but here we are. I finished all 49 episodes in less than a week WHILE I've been in school XD
While the premise of this lakorn was really good, the execution was lacking at best. Yadech was the PERFECT choice for this lakorn, seeing as they know each other so well. Their acting was on-par at every moment. However, the lakorn itself struggled to maintain its own plotline the entire 10 episodes. Never thought this type of lakorn would be boring, but here we are.
finally finished this! still prefer their story in TMOPB but i guess dijun is more enjoyable and entertaining…
This ^^ it's an enjoyable watch, but nothing life-changing. I also got SO frustrated with Dijun because he kept so many secrets from FJ. Bruh, even if you "don't want her to worry," you need to keep her informed that big baddie might blow up the world and you're the only one who can stop her. The lack of communication was just... too much.
Eleven episodes into this one, I'd say a lot of BPS people here who have little experience with lakorns will be disappointed. For us seasoned lakorn-watchers, this drama isn't as frustrating as a lot of other shows. It's worth the watch for Pope and Bella. So far they haven't had any big misunderstandings that they've broken up over (aka believing the evil girl when they know she's a lying, manipulative freak), and their characters are actually very well-developed. Hope they have a similar cast in a drama with a better plotline-- the acting is very good,
I don't know how people think this is a "ripoff" of BPS. This is an original script (not based on a novel or remake)…
@Dai Sy I haven't looked into it too much, just commenting that the costuming and sets are very similar to BPS. Post-BPS lakorns are bound to be influenced by BPS-- not necessarily this one, but it's coming. When something is as successful as BPS, people try to copy it with the hopes that they will also copy its success.
I am only at ep. 3 can you explain one thing to me.I don’t get how both main lead can be boss of a rival gang…
They were friends when both their dads were gang leaders. But there's a traitor on Chen Ming's side that framed Daniel for doing bad things. They hate each other (or rather, Chen Ming hates Daniel) because of that. They explain this later in the drama.
1) They're 100% a guilty pleasure.2) Just because a few K-dramas are bad, does that mean you give up all K-dramas?…
Depends what you like. If you like rom-coms, a safe bet is Full House Thai-- that was the first lakorn I ever watched. Not even a mention of rape or any of the usual tropes. Bhuppae Sanniwat is also quite light and funny, and it actually addresses the inferiority of women in Thai society. If you like action, Once Upon A Time in My Heart is a good bet. It doesn't have any of the usual tropes either.
