Then I hope they have better cinematography and editing than Dare you to death. GMMTV really needs to increase…
The editing can be fixed more easily in comparison to cinematography for sure, as that requires more 💵💵I think this has their usual BL budget as it’s unlikely GMMTV has suddenly seen the light. However, instead of making 10 episodes that look cheap P’Aof could have deliberately chosen to make the series shorter to afford better production value per episode with the meagre budget they have.
if you love thai BL in particular i mean to offense, i just am looking for different things and i dont usually…
I know what you mean. So far I’ve only genuinely loved this and Kinnporsche, and to a lesser extent Khemjira. The industry is evolving but they are not quite there yet (neither is any other country though)
Only 5 episodes... something tells me this is gonna be on Netflix.
Then I hope they have better cinematography and editing than Dare you to death. GMMTV really needs to increase budget for at least those BLs that they want to place on big platforms😅
I think he's just sending candles to friends and ppl he's close with. Jimmy from Last Twilight got one too, along…
I mean yeah it’s not impossible there would be a side couple but I just think it’s improbable. I’m currently leaning towards Kinn appearing in the series solo as a supporting character due to the interview.
Although I’m undecided myself yet whether I will watch this, I hope it is a big hit so that investors will be less scared to put big money on series with same sex leads. Another success relatively close after Khemjira could really change perceptions in the industry.
This kind of dark fantasy concept is the most exciting for me but I hope they have a proper budget so that the special effects won’t look cheap. Bad CGI can kill a fantasy series very easily.
I used to be hopeful about this, but similarly to some others, recently I’m seriously starting to think this is not coming anymore. Not only does the cast (including Jeff)have multiple long-term commitments elsewhere, they went from ”the script is 80% ready” in June to ”I don’t have a deadline for it” sometime around September last year. This and the endless pre-script meetings just allows sos to indefinetly postpone the series while appearing active.
Call me pessimistic but I think Jeff might have bitten more than he can chew with HE, as it is a VERY ambitious and expensive first-time project for a small studio with an inexperienced screenwriter who cannot commit full-time.Davika and her husband struggled to secure investors for Clairebell, which shows how hard securing financing for unique/risky concepts can be even for well-established figures in the industry. If there is no concrete update with new information (script lock, table reads, workshops, filming date,platform/sponsor announcement etc.) by the second anniversary of the pilot in June the project is with all likelihood inactive in all but name.It sucks but Thai series rarely get officially cancelled, either because a formal cancellation would hurt the reputation of the studio or because the creators are just very attached to the concept. The result? Indefinite limbo.
I wonder now that Be On Cloud is expanding so much into het series/movies if the result will be that the biggest budgets and best scripts will start to be allocated to those……
It's a BL. https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/movies-series/2026/1/27/netflix-series-starring-2pm-s-taecyeon-hayato-isomura-gets-premiere-date-1532
It's romance, but it's always been marketed as an understated queer drama, not a "BL". So if people expect…
If it is actually romance then count me very (pleasantly) surprised. They don’t have to go full heated rivalry or anything, just acknowledgement that the characters are more than friends is enough for me.
