I finally restarted the rewatch yesterday, still at ep 7. I only allows myself 1 ep/day 😆
Ohhh my clown friend, you're here too. You can't help it. I just started after exams and Oh my...that scene when episode 2 was starting. I kind of shipped the pipa guy with Luo Yunxi... they had amazing chemistry. I found myself kicking the blankets. I don't know which adaptation it's based on but it's giving me BL vibes.
This is a very good drama. I also just finished Sword and Beloved and found it better than this one. Therefore,…
Cheng Yi's dramas are boring. I had started one and dropped it at episode 1. Like the acting and storyline went to nowhere but this one started to warm up the first 5 minutes...I decide to watch a dramas in episode 1, if it's going nowhere at the premise, I drop.
We could see her decision but it wasn't like she didn't have a second thought although we couldn't see her doubts but she expressed fear after her aunt was locked up.
Rewatch episode 1. At one point she said she didn't want to live in the Palace anymore and that it has become more serious, nothing like the place she used to play in when her aunt was still the queen. She said to Hongli she won't marry him then Hongli said she should just come and chose the princess consort for him, then she said she won't come but at the end, she came.
That's not what I said either, like I said having a harem of wives and him being a King doesn't excuse his behaviour. Many Kings had harems but they knew which wives were his favourites and which were political pawns attached to him. So in Qianlong's case, he was a total red flag. A man who should be avoided at all cost, if I was Qing Ying in épisode I would followed through with my instincts and not marry him.
I'm not romanticing anything and I didn't say what the emperor did was right but let's not forget he was a king of a nation, so having a harem of women is normal for Kings but compared to other Kings known in history his way of loving was toxic. We modern people see it in lens with our modern mindset. I wouldn't want a guy like him ofcourse but in their era having a harem was normal, he just didn't know how to manage his with rationality and intelligence. Many Kings did have harem but they would do anything for the loves of their lives even in the midst of political intrigue. Emperor Qianlong didn't have what real men had or what his fellow Emperors had. I have been in several relationships to spot red flags. King Qianlong had many red flags right from episode 1.
Hi my beautiful clownmates ❤️ hope you're doing well while cultivating consistently. As for me I'm done with my exams for January and now I have one week of resting a bit. I'm recently reading Erha 📚 again while clowning.
Hallo my beautiful and handsome clownies....How have been these days? As for me I have been fine with my new route of studies. I have two weeks holiday and preparation for my next four big exams and then I will have one week pure holiday without books. Concerning HXY, I stumbled upon a video saying some people have this drama stored a way on their hard drives and some fan begged to share it. I don't know if it's connected to the rumors I'm reading here first thing, I logged in 🫠
What's worst is that with Arthur Chen and Luo Yun Xi's recents dramas (When Destiny brings the demon and Whispers…
For real !!! Imagine someone editing this drama to his satisfaction, he even got to watch the uncensored parts he edited out....the thought of it makes me crumble.
No female lead who drags the male lead for help ✅️
Intense brotherhood ✅️ (This captivated me already)
