This drama made really believe how fleeting love can be. This drama made me cry. I have seen Emperors fighting for their lovers but Qianlong emperor has disappointed me greatly. Too good women from her clan never became empresses again.The forbidden city is sad place and even sadder if ruled by such an emperor.

Episode 3 reminded me how single I'm but episode 6 showed me how someone can really hide who they're however much we claim to know them, those cleaning ladies working in X hotel know how to create exagération stories, they even went as far to elaborate group sex which made Sheng Shayou even nauseated. I don't know why Hua Yong hides himself, but the word he spread about him serving multiple Alphas really broke Mr Sheng Shayou. I also think he has a kink. The way he tied himself up, and beating those poor men who were supposedly called Alphas was kinky. He must be wanting it rough.

I am and I'm on episode 7. Waiting for it to finish to complete it. It's plot heavy and it had potential for more épisodes but it seems they won't stretch it.

I just found myself not watching any. I rarely watch Chinese dramas, later alone long Xianxia dramas she stars in. I have watched some short from Bai Lu. The longest drama I have watched is Ashes of Love which I didn't enjoy as much, then watched ever night and some from Luo Yunxi...I love watching bromance dramas than the traditional couple Chinese costume dramas.
