She is your sterotypical stuck up kdrama heroine, unfortunately. They seem to only make the female leads 1 of 2 ways. I guess the korean audiance loves their fl with nasty attitudes.

The question is, who else would want him? He is total garbage.

One of the chinese dramas from recent that was a total hit was Lighter and Princess. The male lead was total trash. Really stood out to me.

Im a little past halfway on the second episode and can confirm I am really struggling but I shall persevere!

Look, I get that his parents went to the wedding and they were all happy-go-lucky, but I mean, common. They had zero affection and love for their children. They only wanted trophy kids. We never saw their reaction to meeting zai zai as his gf and no where did it hint they were even part of their lives after high school. Awful.

This was extremely sweet. Diabetics be aware. This is a light, fluffy filler drama whenever you are transitioning into the heavier dramas. It is completely character driven. There is no nonsense in this and the only "real" drama (not really drama) I found was rang rang's parents, who made my blood boil (see spoiler).

It is fine if you do not like it. Most people keep these cdramas going like this because we like the same thing over and over again. It does not have to be anything new or unique. It just has to be in good taste.

I know this is an old comment, but I also had the same idea. If he truly liked fuji why did he never go back for her? Are we suppose to assume that when she saw her drawing that she was to go after him? and Hiroko also said he never outright asked her to marry him. In the end, they probably had the same questions as us. But he took them to his grave. :(

I put off watching this for the longest time. I just knew it was going to be a slow, melancholic film. It is perfect for a snowy day, or a dark rainy day. It was not at all light hearted but I found the entire movie endearing and beautiful.

They are not wrong though. Just because age gaps have existed since the beginning of time does not mean that making a real life 50 year old romancing a 15 year old is not just as filthy compared to if they were to make them that age in the story to begin with. That was the whole point of op comment.

I dunno why people are comparing them or if they are but I remember the show a lot differently than this one. Despite its flaws, Itazurna na Kiss is a classic for me.

On second thought it would seem highly probable that someone was a little mad this was going to get a Seoul award and tried to run it in the ground in hopes another show would get it instead.

Why was this even brought up/announced? I cannot imagine the tens of thousands of people who comment similarities between other shows, globally, with way more of the same content than this. Like, was this from one forum or was this something spreading like wildfire all over Korean media?

One thing I remember is her bday party. When he was trying to explain his feelings for her and her response. The whole thing was so awkward.
