i found jiangfeng very annoying as well!! but unfortunately his personality stayed like that the entire time tbh
I just finished. good 9.5/10 for me. Just a teensy disappointed in the truth behind everything. Like the cowardly student and how things escalated to that point is just beyond obnoxious, and quite frankly, stupid. But very well executed nonetheless.
Update to my initial reaction. After having watched 17 episodes this got dropped. The beginning was wonderful but it went downhill pretty bad. Very disappointed and not worth the rating at all. This should be a low 7/10 max. Edit: due to some of yalls comments I may continue at a later time. Their relationship was just a bit too flat and cringe for me, but I might finish later. Thank you.
This is the best drama of its kind. It definitely fulfills your 'brother's best friend' fantasies and I am only on episode 7. It has it all from the young age to the blossoming romance. It just keeps getting better and better.
After struggling for 8 episodes, I'm dropping this. The first episode started off good in the Joseon era explaining…
I think a lot of people would agree that the female lead was very miscast and someone else should have played her. I loved the story and everything really, but they should not have cast kim go eun. It wasn't that she acted bad, but this was not the drama for her.
I am finding the enemies to lovers troupe hard to swallow here. I just cannot get behind a relationship in which a guy mistreats and BULLIES a fl as a basis for laying out a romantic relationship. Just no. This is appalling.
I adored the leads chemistry together and how sweet their relationship is. However, after some scenes I found the fl to be quite stupid and nonsensical to the point where she was putting people around her in danger. Not only that, but that people around her contributed to that. Definitely ruined the mood of the show for me. Watching for the main characters was okay but everything else was not that great.
The ones at fault here are the adults who were suppose to protect the kids. The teacher, the school management…
Child violence in Korea either doesn't happen much or goes unreported often, but when it does get reported, well, I can say there's not much justice unless you're a really high class citizen.
If anyone sees this and is having a difficult time deciding to watch. You can say this is similar to a modernized 'melodrama' that wants to follow older kdrama melodramas. It is slow and can be shocking at times. It isn't the best story and may not make the most sense, but for me the mood, atmosphere, was surely unique and I watched for the romance between the leads and was not disappointed.
Dropped this one about mid way through. The beginning was charming and endearing but the I did not have any reason or mood to finish it so I had to let it go.
I can understand the appeal of this drama. I can deal with lighthearted draggy romance drama, but this one was too bland and not my cup of tea. I didn't make it very far, but I got past the point when they got together.
Edit: due to some of yalls comments I may continue at a later time. Their relationship was just a bit too flat and cringe for me, but I might finish later. Thank you.
