This romcom gave us a wonderful and refreshing romance portraying finally an adult couple.
Considering this fresh approach I thought the plot would also be different from other romcoms, but at the end it couldn’t avoid to use the same old patterns and fall into the usual clichés. As I always say, I refuse to condone such errors made by writers just because I loved the main couple.
Therefore my rating dropped significantly even if this will be remain between my favorite romcoms.

I cut out:
-1 point for using the same old clichés and lame excuses to justify
-1 point for dragging the last 4 episodes
-0.5 point to waste a great 2nd lead on an useless “triangle” instead giving him his own story

Final rating 7,5

Eun-gi never had a chance though. He waited and waited, scared to ruin the friendship, whereas Ryan took action…
didn't watch the final yet

Just because kdrama romcom are like this it doesn’t mean that I have to accept them. I will keep watching romcoms and I will keep complaining about it LOL!
As always I was expecting more about a romcom and as always I end up being disappointed. But this time I am really sad cause the first part was really more “mature” than other romcom.

I didn’t want a chance for Eun Gi with her, I want him to be just a friend and have his own love story with someone else. Instead they use him as a cliché. That is what I am complaining about. What’s the point to use him as a third wheel if nothing happens? Just drop that idea from the start and give him his own plot. That is where korean writer fail all the f..king time.
Cliché are necessary sometimes for the plot sake but they don’t know how to used them, see the “childhood” cliché, what’s the point to have 4 final episodes about that? If they wanted to develop that trauma they should have bring his mother sooner into the show to give us more “drama”. The problem with korean romcoms is that they have great idea but they always fail into develop them, they never give us a well balanced show.

My rate for this drama is dropping ep. by ep.I praised this drama of being serious, mature with little cliché…
I bet Duk Mi’s mother is the one who abandoned the kid after found him wandering around the playground and prevent his biological mother to find him later on, cause he end up adopt in the USA.
So we will suffer two more episodes of this “drama” only to resolve everything in a bubble of happiness. If this happens I will drop my rating even more.

My rate for this drama is dropping ep. by ep.
I praised this drama of being serious, mature with little cliché but now that the “lion” charm is dissipated I can see things clearly.
Yes they give us great “adult” moments but right now it became boring and empty like every other romcom.
Once the ML got the FL I totally lost interested in the story, they drop the plot, the fangirling, the art gallery, the friendship, all to focus on the cliché about his “childhood”, the car accident excuse was really lame and now they are all happy and smiley like in “fables story”, totally unrealistic if we compere with the first part of the show.
Not only, even Eun Gi story truly ends up being just a big cliché, he was the third wheel who lost against the Prince Charming and go back to his place as a friend.
They had so much potential and wasted it, focusing only on the main leads and the big cliché about his past. Once again they turn reality into a fable.

That description sucked.
This drama is a story about the inherently selfish humans fiercely fighting to take the throne of the Yangji Group, a conglomerate which has been a core of the economic history of Korea. It’s a game of all sorts of nasty tricks and betrayals. The fight sacrifices a man and he is taking revenge; leaving a paradoxically romantic success story behind.

Never been fond of actress Shin Hye Sun but I start to appreciate her with this role, what I didn't like is her backstory, it remainds me too much old drama, when the FL suffers everything before having her happy ending. I would have digest this better if it was a family drama but within 2 episodes out of 16 she already suffered every kind of cliché a kdrama can offer.

I am the only one who was bother by the major error in the first two episode?

- the doctor exit with a perfect white “jacket” after a gunshot surgery.

- on guy was interrogated in front of everyone, so now everyone knows secret stuff, what a way to catch spy.

- the suspect is a female doctor and the cop left a female doctor inside the room alone. A genius!

- the spy have no problem showing his face around and talk with her while he is there to close the hitting job. Beside how he entered the room if the cop was outside before?

Despite loving the historical period right now is a big NO to me.

This drama took all the clichés from other famous dramas, like BOF and devil beside me, and brought them together on screen.
The misunderstandings are the only thing that sustains such a copycat plot. The first episodes are inconsistent, with a main lead that constantly change his mood. He finally decided to leave to scheme his revenge and what happens? She shows up and they start to act childish once again.
I'm not going to watch yet another drama where the progragonists play dog and cat and the main lead treats the girl badly depending on how he wakes up in the morning.

-dropped-

You are confusing skills with fame.No one said he was a bad actor before, people just didn’t know about him…
Once again, this sentence

“It took a romcom for so many people to recognize Kim Jae wook”

Was rude.

I try to explain to you why is rude and suggest you another way to express your passion for this actor and his previous work.

But you keep going on stating you already recommend his work.

Obviously you didn’t get my comment and probably never will.

Bye.

Finally had the chance to complete the first episode and I must say what a mess!
They fit too much in one episode, both death, both reincarnation and reunion of the new actor/actress. It was too rushed and even if you understand what’s going on you still end up with that confusion sensation.
We didn’t had the time to know their original version, unless they will show us with flashback how can we compare the difference between before and after?
From the preview it looks like she will start to investigate right away so I expect another messy second episode.
What a shame cause the premise was good, I also liked the initial comedy.

Why I can’t get rid of my mind of buzzer beat when it came to sport drama? Never find a true similar drama. I will check out the ones in this article.

Birdie buddy was awful while weightlifting shouldn’t be a guilty pleasure, it was a really good drama about sport and friendship. Not guilty or ashamed about being one of my favorite!

Eun Gi is a decent guy, I don't understand the fuss going on here. He will just take his time to sort things out.…
Quote, is already bad that the “prince charming” always win against the normal guy, giving out this idea that the man need to be beautiful and successful. At least the only thing we can do is not bashing a character who is just a good man, with a normal work who love a woman. He could be a perfect husband material as well. As you said, he will sort out his feeling, but he had to tell her the truth to do so.
