This drama have too many genres and subplot for my taste, the execution is a mess but I like the acting and the general concept of a man who is struggling to being a good father.
I always though that MDL ratings were not truthful enough for me to pay attention to them. Your article put some good statistics that can contrast my idea but then I realise that not everyone on the site partecipated on your poll but only 128 users. I really appriciated your effort and the article is indeed good, but the truth is that too many users vote a drama without being objective. That is the only reason sometimes I feel angry about ratings. I read comment of people who vote 10 or 1 just because they like or do not like that specific actor, I read comment of people who vote after 2 episodes, how can you form an objective idea after only 2 epidose? There are also people who vote before the drama started! Downvote a drama just to fix the ratings is even more childish then people who vote without a cognition of the cause, so I just decided to totally avoid the rating system on MDL. I do not vote if I do not complete a drama, and often I do not even vote for what I complete. I think the rating system should be reformed, they should split the rating from completed and dropped, to give us better statistics about it.
A rating should be given considering all of these aspects: story, acting, scenography (costumes, effects, etc.), music and only 2% of your vote should be about I like it or not like it. Because if I watch a horror drama and I hate horror and vote 5 it would be hypocritical, I should recognise the drama is good even if I do not like horror.
The rating is not there for let other people know if you like it or not, is there to tell other people if the drama is good or not despite your personal feeling. In fact rating are anonymous. For like or not like there is a comment section. That's just my opinion.
I really do not like the way they dealt with the timeline's plot but I am enjoing the plot itself, for once in a while we have inverse role, the boy act as a queen drama while the girl has a strong personality. The drama is very realistic and portrait a true love story between two people with a very different personality. I didn't like "Are you human too" as much as other people did and I hated "Because this is my first life", and apparently a lot of people did not like a "third charm" while I like it..... this shows how everyone taste is so different. As always Seo Kang Joon is awesome in portaying his role.
I expected a sports drama, i turned out to be less sports and more about doping and good fathers .
Honestly I was expecting a “fight club” plot. Like he try to be a good father but to provide for his family he end up in the illegal fight system. I do not mind him fighting dirty in the mix martial art but the dopping plot with super power and zombie transformation is way too fantasy for my taste, while I do not get the backstory about her wife’s first love who is trying to get revenge, is like watching two drama in one.
If you liked the hurtful love story of Kleun Cheewit you can watch kdrama que sera sera and what happened in Bali. Instead if you want the same plot watch Secret.
this lakorn is the ultimate makjang, I mean Korean drama are “beginner” compered to this one. I never seen so much fuss and pain caused by misunderstanding I liked the love-hate relationship, it makes your blood burn! But the general plot is really “ just talk to each other or have sex for god sake” LOL
Not a fan of Choi Daniel but I am reconsidering him after this drama. I also like Lee Ji Ah role, she is very good in it. I did not recognize her from Me too Flower, I am really bad when it comes to associate name and faces, specially with asian people :(
The plot is so lame, very predictable, I am watching only for the romance and CJH , I hope his next drama will be better, he didn't choose very good role since the heirs.
If you overcome the endless slow flashback, the plot is definitely interesting, the back and forth of a relationship between two very different people, all seasoned with slice of daily life. This already difficulty relationship is also challenged by the action of others characters, friends, family and filtring, there are nice sub plot what a shame they get little screen time. I am enjoying the diatribe: couple who have same interesting are more likable to overcome their difficulties in contrast to couple who have such a different personality? The female lead is strong while the male lead is petty and emotional, inverse role once in a while, very refreshing and Kang Joon as a queen drama is awesome. The wheelchair brother deserve a special mention, his story should be more important.
There will be another time slip or not? I am so confused about those flashback.
