We have to see how it's portrayed in the drama. CSS & YS situation may be slightly different than his teacher & third aunt. The teacher was leading the aunt on for many yrs. All the while she was waiting for him as his fiancee. CSS only got engaged with YS at the tail end of the 5 yr gap from LBY. YS volunteered to accompany CSS. She didn't give him false hope or expectations.

I've a different interpretation than you. I believe she spontaneously decided to kiss him, as she felt touched that he accepted her last minute request to play quqin at the banquet and practiced guqin until his finger was injured. She left after the kiss because she felt shy.

I'm 99% sure that it was addressed to the 5th princess. Just the editing made it seem as if the empress was speaking to CSS but if you carefully look at the direction the empress spoke and CSS' facial expressions. It's quite obvious that it's not CSS.
