It's out of concern for her reputation. If he was identified fishing her out of the water, she'll have no choice…
If being saved by a guy will damage her reputation then wouldn't her reputation be damaged anyway, regardless people knowing the identity of her saviour? I don't quite understand the logic.
It's the scene where he was sitting down in his study room and his aide (the one with the beard) told him that his mom asked when he will continue the broken string (xu xian), which means marry again.
he is war demon . Also she was getting something out of him too.She was also using him just as he is using her. She…
The reasons he cited were reasonable. He needed someone to collect his body, arrange his funeral and burn incense paper during his death anniversaries.
I actually saw it as she wanted to trust him so much, it would not matter to her anymore. That question was probably…
She let him off way too easy. And, I feel that the transition from their platonic relationship in ep 21 to ep 22 where he is casually touching her lips felt too fast. I felt that there is no build up for him to reach that stage where he can just touch her like that.
Is it just me, or was the LQQ/XM makeup in Ep 21 underwhelming? I didn't like her blaming him for the whole Ghost Tribe’s history too, but he did DECEIVE her. 1. He made a blood bond with her knowing she couldn’t move on even if she wanted to, as they're still connected since he didn't die. 2. He wiped her memory without consent and yes, he saved her a couple of times but it's from messes he caused, as she wouldn't be in this state had she known that he is not dead. 3. He specifically was seeking for a cultivator bride. But knowing the history and bad relations between the tribes, he should have also known that he'll be inflicting distress and conflicted emotions onto her.
I didn't need episodes of angst, but a "cold shoulder" phase would have been more logical to me. Having her ask "Are you a good guy?" and just moving on when he says "No" is such a let down. What villain actually admits they're the bad guy? It would’ve been way more satisfying to see them spend time together and seeing her slowly warm up to him by watching his good actions over time.
