She didn't cheat on CWD in the book. She had sex with WJG before she met CWD. By then she was already pregnant with WJG's child.

I like MX and BFY both so it's not that I'm defending BFY at the expense of MX. I don't think BFY took that arrow to gain sympathy from WJG and in laws. In fact, when she saw that someone was trying to shoot, she ran over shouting MX's name. So I believe her original intent was to shield MX not WJG. The part about her being a hypocrite while in Bai mansion. She did try everything within her means to help MX. We've to understand that she is a girl in a patriarchal household and there is not much that she can do, except sharing her allowance with MX, sending MX food and clothing. She also unknowingly helped MX with WJG's escape and received serious beating from her mum as a result. True that she cries a lot, is often clueless and obstinate but she truly loves MX and MX knows it. That's why when push come to shove MX considers BFY above anyone else.

In the novel the age difference between CWD and MX is around 13 - 14 yrs.

LMT plays WY very convincingly. At times, I forget that she is actually a lady.

Although, WY's character is flawed but he sees MX's safety as his first priority. It's different from WJG and CWD.
