Funny how I'm reading so many comments saying the ML isn't their cup of tea. This reminds me of Mark Chao with Eternal Love and how everyone thinks he's not good looking enough to play our God of War but Mark made Ye Hua everyone's favorite ML for the longest time lol. Chen Xiao is a fabulous actor, I've adored him since The Legend of Lu Zhen (him and ZLY characters in the drama is still one of my all time favorite OTPs). I'm happy to see him getting all the loves he deserves.

Does anyone know what days this drama aired? I started on it and now I'm addicted and I'm desperately waiting for the next episodes. I should've waited for it to be done airing to start but I've heard so many good things about it so I thought I'll check out the first episode and somehow I've seen all the airing episodes already. Such a rookie mistake of mine lol.

I think it's because of the lack of subtitles. Once the subtitles are available the number of watchers will increase. I haven't seen more than two episodes of part 1 as I wait for both parts to be fully subbed.

Also it looks like they're going to release all 22 episodes of Part 1 in 2 days so on May 25th.

Just saw TBW on the coming soon section on Viki in the US. Finally it's going to have subtitles!!!

At this rate it seems like the fansubbers will finish Part 1 before official subtitle comes out.

I respect your opinion, but there's no need to compared the two actresses. It's okay to compared the characters the girls are playing/has played but your last sentence is really unnecessary. I think we should just focus on TBW here and let's not drag other names in here.

The waiting for subtitles for this drama takes away the fun of watching it. I never thought I'll have to wait for subtitles for a drama with this type of cast. Cdramas nowadays are so quick with availability that what's happening with TBW is almost laughable. I guess I'll just have to put this drama on hold.

With that being say, I thought I'll take this opportunity to say thank you to the fan subbers for taking their free time to subbed this. Their subtitles are really good for those who are wondering. They take the time to explained a lot of the phrases that non-Mandarin speakers would not be able to understand and I truly appreciate that effort.

Guys I just saw an announcement that it's coming to Netflix next week in the U.S. I rarely ever seen an airing Chinese drama air on Netflix. Netflix usually only buy cdramas after they finished airing in China so this is an unexpected surprise.

I'm loving the female lead strong persona and I hope it last until the end. I've seen so many female lead characters started off so strong and badass to only be a demise in distress afterward. Let's hope Bai Feng Xi isn't one of them.

I believe the novel itself has very little romance, so with the amount of scenes we have with the lead couple already at this early stage is a blessing. A story must have its root/structure to truly give us a full story. The family politics is an important part to both the main characters so we must know about it to be able to understand the characters' reasons/actions.

So excited for this. The last costume/wuxia of Yang Yang I've seen was Martial Universe and I didn't like that one at all. I've dropped it after seeing like two episodes. And as for Lu Si, I'm exciting to see her act in a more serious character. I loved her in The Long Ballad but her storyline wasn't the main plot so we didn't get to see much of her. I really adore both actors so seeing them in one drama as love interests is all I can ask for. I'm literally putting a pause in my current dramas just to see this. I can't wait. I hope it's as good as the trailers present it. 🤞🏻

I was going to post the same thing lol. I was so excited for this but a month into the airing of the drama and there is still no subs. I thought I'll go watch something else and come back and there will be official subs but I've finished that other drama I've been watching and this drama still doesn't have official subtitles. What is their reason for not providing subtitles for international fans?? Such bad marketing technique from the drama PR team.

Love him in all of us are dead. This sounds interesting. Can't wait.

Is it so hard to ask for his first comeback drama to be a romcom??? Still going to watch it for him.

I really want to see him in a modern romcom....sad it's not. Still happy to see him back to dramaland. However, his agency is called" Santa Claus" Entertainment??? LOL

I'm sad too. I was expecting it to be uploaded today, well at least to youtube if not from the other paid platforms. I guess I just have to wait until the subs comes out. For the meantime I'll go watch something else.

I'm surprised there's not a single international platform subbing this drama given Dilraba and Allen are quite well-known and liked by international viewers. I guess I'll wait a couple more days and see if they upload it on youtube, wetv, or viki.
