I was in shambles the whole of the last part of the episode :( This goes to show you don't need a really amazing storyline. Just amazing actors and director and screenwriter and production crew to make magic happen.
Also did anyone else see Wai and Korn looking cute and cozy together ? :)
This is so good omg . The rap with the interpretive/contemporary dance was so powerful ( I loved the contrast that Tod’s scene provided . Showing the rich and lavish lifestyle immediately after that rap and dance scene somehow made the rap more impactful) , the actors are doing an amazing job , the dialogue is pretty good. Now this is a real script and good directing. I’m confused about why some people don’t like the show like do they only watch bl series to see boys kissing or for other fan service things . Don’t get me wrong that stuff is nice and I’m not trying to force anyone to like this series I guess some people only like romance driven dramas which is okay but for me it’s just refreshing to watch a bl with a deep meaning where the main focus is the plot rather than the other things . To be honest I’m even at a point where I don’t even really need to know the characters deeply I just want the plot to continue surprising me. This is a real story that tackles real issues. GMMTV is pretty brave for releasing a drama like this . I’m happy they released a mature bl and honestly I hope this gets more hype because it deserves recognition.
So to sum this show up . Useless plot and really good chemistry. It’s a good watch if you just want to pass some time . There are shows much much worse than this believe me some I have to stop at episode one because they’re so bad but I finished this. There are sweet fluffy moments and some really intense smexy moments but because the script wasn’t good you’re left a bit confused. The actors honestly saved the day . I liked the 3 main actors and the director. I really hope to see Gameplay and Folk in a well written and well produced series their chemistry is too good to waste. Also the directing was poorly done . It’s a mess but it’s a watchable mess. I feel like Gameplay has way more potential as an actor but he always lands shitty roles for some reason ..like what is his manager doing ? Hopefully his next project will help him grow as an actor I feel like there’s more he can do if he had the opportunity.

Very good comment. I think Pran's mum was always thinking - like father like son. She maybe thought if Pran became…
I love your insight into her character . You're right she painted everyone involved with Pat's dad with the same brush even though they were innocent people and weren't to blame. I understand that she feels wronged but some of the things she said were very hurtful to Pat because no child should ever be punished for their parents wrongdoings.
Y'all I'm just gonna leave a Pat appreciation comment here because everyone talking about Pran crying is phenomenal and I agree but can we talk about how Pat is the best boyfriend ever. He is filled with so many emotions like anger, sadness , shock and guilt not only from fighting with his dad but now he feels guilty for being the child of the person who started this entire mess. Like can you imagine how awful he feels for Pran's mum and for Pran .. I mean Pran was literally forced to move away from his home and friends because of this situation he was also forced to quit guitar too. The moms dreams were shattered too. He must be wondering how he can possibly hold his head up high and ask her to be with Pran. We literally watched as his entire world shattered when he found out his dad did such a thing. This is the same man he respected and looked up to the most. Yet even with all of those raging emotions he decided to cry silently and be Pran's support at this time . So heartbreaking . His tears were just quietly falling down his cheeks while he fought with all his might to stay strong for Pran. He literally looked dead inside and didn't know what to do by the end of it and just quietly suggested running away. Ohm really pulled it off. (bear in mind I know Pran's mum is hurt but her behaviour towards Pat who is also a victim is unacceptable )
It's a cute series . When they kissed I was confused though lol there was no build up or anything just bam here's a kiss coz people like kiss scenes. I wish they would have developed the characters more and showed them falling in love a bit more coz right now it just looks like two strangers randomly kissing. To be honest the storyline between Yeong Woo and Hwang Yi Bin seems more interesting I lowkey think they're cute together. Anyway I'll watch the whole series the production is pretty decent.
I didn't enjoy the 1st episode but the two episodes after that are pretty nice. I honestly think the two main actors have decent chemistry and are so cute together. I'm not really into Korean period dramas because I dislike the stiff way they have to speak but I kinda like this .
This is surprisingly good. The actors are very good looking and I like the storyline. The production isn't the best in the world but it's much better than what I expected. Their acting is also pretty natural. I think I'm going to love this one
Okay at first I was just watching to pass time but now I'm thoroughly invested in this story . I love how with every episode White is becoming more and more self aware . In the previous episode he realized just how weak he is and got the courage to become strong and in this week he realized just how privileged he is. I also hope we get Sean's back story so we can connect more with his character I love him so much just want to know more. There were a lot of cute scenes between Sean and White they're slowly becoming aware of each other and their attraction to each other is so obvious .. I can't wait to watch the next episode. Omg the second couple is way too cute ooof the way Yok looks at Dan is EVERYTHING !!, I also hope this series gets more recognition it's a bit of a slow burn but it's so worth it the storyline deals with such interesting topics like politics , the difficulties of finding jobs while being disabled (I admire Yok's mom for fighting through her mute/deafness and refusing to back down and sit at home I completely agree with her it's better to keep trying rather than giving up) . There's also the difficulty for children of affluent and influential parents to feel like they've achieved anything on their own , I mean sure White had a head start in life but he struggles to break free of the shackles of living in his fathers shadow and always having everything handed to him, without being completely sure if his achievements are the result of his parents influence or the result of his hard work. There's so much more to say about the topics in this series but I'm tired of typing. The point is this show is way too underrated in terms of a GMMTV series and that's sad because we finally got a BL with so much depth.
I get what everyone is saying about Wai not apologizing and I wish he did as well ,but what do you expect ? His character is LITERALLY the asshole of the friend groups. I think passing the ball to Pat and sending that video to help him is pretty natural character growth for an asshole. Let's face it on a normal day Wai would rather die than help Pat or be nice to him .It would be weird to see a character change so much in one episode. He has a lot of pride and is very stubborn so this is his way of apologizing. I wouldn't wanna be his friend though but hey I guess Pran see's his good side or whatever. I believe that his bad character has served his purpose as a catalyst and now we will only be exposed to his 'good' side.
Omg this is madness . I don't even know the girl and even I feel bad that people are bashing someone's first drama. Whew I would hate to be a popular singer it seems she has just as many haters as she does fans. I think it's a stretch to call the drama terrible I've seen much worse.
Episode 1 was felt a little bit rushed in places but episode 2 was really good. I can tell it's going to be a slow burn series which I love !! The actors are doing so well and I'm already in love with the second couple ! I really hope this show gets more hype.. the production and music are amazing and they've all worked so hard. It's a refreshing change from the normal high school/university series.
Okayy but the one time that all of their friend's are in the room the curtain drops ???? likeeeee don't you have rugby or something ? Now you're all suddenly here lol .. This is literally the first time I've seen Korn enter the room we always see him look for Pat outside .. annnnd didn't you quit the play to do rugby Wai ? So I might fight Wai after this because I'm mad as hell.
Was the first episode mind blowing? Short answer is no .
Was it a solid first episode? I would say that it’s definitely worth a watch ! I was quite intrigued .
I can’t put my finger on it but something felt a bit off. I think it’s the pacing maybe .. it seemed a bit rushed . Hopefully the next few episode will have a slower pace. That’s my opinion. I’ll definitely be tuning in for the next episode. The music on this one is everything and I like the grungy cinematography .
What I loved most from the first episode were the actors . Gun is always amazing but I was pleasantly surprised by Off he was so good . I think this type of role suits him quite well. After seeing them together I’m actually hyped for the rest of the show . They have a special kind of connection. I watched their meeting scene a couple of times.
**sidenote** Also why does it feel like GMMTV isn’t hyping this show and promoting it ?
When Pat gave us an indirect confession with the lines of the drama my heart melted . That was such a perfect scene and Pran’s expression was just beautiful he was so genuinely happy I teared up. Get you a man like Pat.. he’s usually so silly but he always makes sure to convey his feelings clearly to Pran like he wants Pran to know how serious he is about him and it helps Pran to open up to him and trust him. I love how you just need two great actors to bring life to an overused storyline . Their chemistry is electric. Also I know this is off topic but Wai’s smile is so cute that one second we saw him smile when he was talking to Pa was so cute aww I wish he smiled more in the series. Ohh lol don’t get me wrong I’m still team Pa and Ink all the way I just thought Wai’s smile was cute . His personality still really sucks. Also didn’t Wai seem a bit manipulative of Pran .. idk I got a weird vibe when he was asking Pran to take over the play when they were talking in Pran’s room
He could literally be paired with a wall and have amazing chemistry with it lol! Jokes aside He’s doing an amazing job and has accomplished so much at such a young age 🥺 the future is bright for this young man . So so proud of you !!
