is this worth watching? the comments are confusing lol
Did you end up watching it then? I started it but am curious how much energy I want to put into it. (I would be watching for Ryusei but I know he's a supporting character.)
Exactly my thoughts. I'm glad Mashiba did that and I really do hope that Shun would be willing to open up things…
Yes - I'm slightly worried about what will happen when Hana-chan comes back into the picture...although if she really did what it seems like she did then he shouldn't have any feelings left for her!
He's my absolute FAVORITE actor, so this is thrilling news to get. His acting just gets better and better and better. (And if you haven't seen Undercover yet, you should!)

It is the mark of a true artist that Fujiwara Tatsuya can be totally bandaged for two entire movies and still take over every scene he's in. And the scenes between Shishio and Kenshin are like poetry in motion, like dancing. It was breathtaking to watch two masters at work.
Another fantastic episode - they keep outdoing themselves with each one. Emotionally, this show is so on point…
Also, did anyone's heart about stop when that client started Shun's truck up? I was so worried she would wreck it! Shun is my favorite character so far. He's a delicate balance of strength and fragility. We heard him say that he determines his own worth, and I believe that he believes that about himself, but we also saw him in the first episode give up and go back to bed. He's just trying to make it, like so many of the rest of us.

The characters are all so different than the usual trope-y ones we often see, and it's been so incredibly refreshing to watch people with real emotions and fears and hurts...and hear them talk about them! I'm guessing that a big reason that Shun doesn't use his phone is that there are messages on there that he doesn't want to hear. Sometimes when we can't manage hearing hurtful things - or the truth - we turn our phones off and ignore them rather than facing them. I could be wrong, of course, and it might be that he simply wants to live life in a simpler way, but I bet it's something deeper than that. We'll find out!

Also, the dog is BEYOND PRECIOUS.
