So I HATED, and I do mean HATED Something in the Rain. Since this is a remake, how close is it mirroring SITR? Because I won't watch another character like that mother ever again, if I can help it (and I also hated how drawn out their love story was.)

I had never even heard of it until now. I'll go check it out.

Honestly I wish that Yong Shik would have ended up with Jennifer - she was an amazing friend and support all the way through. I just didn't buy Yong Shik's and Ru Da's love, (and I hardly ever say that. ) What the FL and SML did to Yong Shik in the beginning was so unethical and wrong that if there was any justice in the world they should have lost their medical licenses over it - I was just as incensed the second time about how they treated him. Also there are so few dramas that portray issues of trauma realistically and sensitively (and this isn't one of them either, unfortunately,) but there were a few moments that shined. So all in all, it's a recommended-watch, but Dr. Do is a terrible example of a mental health professional!!

After rewatching a second time, I can confidently say that the FL and SML are two of the most unlikable, disagreeable, and unprofessional, and frankly, unethical characters I've seen. I disliked them both even more the second time through. I still rate this drama high because of the ML (who is frickin' amazing) and because it says some important things about mental health, trauma, and self-acceptance but wow, they were terrible.

You should watch season 2 immediately, even if we don't get season 3 for a while. The cliffhangers presented at the end of season 1 flow very smoothly into season 2 and you should just watch it. (It's one of my favorite sequels of all time - this and Stranger 2)

A lot of people do want these next two seasons as well, even if you don't (for whatever reason)

But it ended with a large nod toward what could come next in the story, so that doesn't signal "one and done" to me

Alice in Borderland 2 is coming in Dec of this year - they've been working on it but covid delayed them for a long time.

AGREED!

I don't care about other people's opinions about this at all. My point is I get whiplash every time I read articles about any series on here - it's either "Netflix is the devil, how dare they give us more seasons" or "Why can't [insert drama name here] get more seasons?!"

Everyone has different opinions as to whether a show "needs" a sequel or not. I see two wildly differing poles of opinions on here and it's like whiplash, frankly.

Any news about this? It's got my ultra-fave Joo Ji Hoon in it...

This comment alone has convinced me to start watching from season 1 (I was on the fence about it for whatever reason.)
