Beautiful article! Mare was my first asadora, and I really loved the drama and the format, even with the crazy amount of episodes. I look forward to watching this sometime when all of the episodes have been released.
This was.....something else. Based on a true story that I'm gathering was even worse than what they portrayed here. Human beings, especially those in power, have inflicted untold suffering onto other humans for as long as we've have been around. We're kind of a terrible species, frankly. But then again, this film also shows that humans can be creative, and resilient, and self-sacrificial as well.
I'll never watch it again, and I can't say that I'm glad I watched it even once, but for a historical and human lesson it was very well-done. But put plainly, it ain't an easy watch, just warning you....
Since you have started writing, perhaps you want to make an article on rising Thai stars with their new dramas/movies...…
The article is taking a bit longer than I expected, as these things often do. :-) If you get to watch all five movies (or even a few), I'd be interested in hearing what you thought of them.
do you have a drama recomendation that has a love hexagon in it ?
For darker J-dramas, I suggest these: 100-manen no Onna-tachi (Million Yen Women) - on Netflix Double Fantasy Kuzu no Honkai (Scum's Wish) - on Viki Kenja no Ai Anata no Ban Desu Imawa no Kuni no Alice (Alice in Borderland) - on Netflix - not a romance drama, but just awesome Garasu no Ie Boku wa Mari no Naka Fujoshi, Ukkari Gei ni Kokuru
Ok, first of all it needs to be said that Kamio Fuju is flat-out GORGEOUS here. I first saw him in a drama from 2018, but he has really blossomed since then. This drama was great - and much more fleshed-out, interesting than other high school dramas, and more mature, emotionally. I thought the writing was really good, and all of the acting in this drama was first-rate.
