No because wo even knowing, I was getting sucked into this BL world of pretty Asian boys that I forgot what a good show looks like. Euphoria is super gay and has a sapphic couple that actually is the lead. the sub lot of two gay guys in ep 3 of s2 had more gay energy than any of these BLs.

Yes but I wasn’t talking about exceptions like that. Yes one could enjoy both dramas. But idk it’s always the bad buddy stans who are complaining about ATOTS lately and I don’t want to generalise but it’s the majority.

No lol I loved this drama and was bawling my eyes out last year but I can also how it can suck for some people. I was just being sarcastic. People can call it trash. People can call it masterpiece. It’s just fictional characters- it’s not that serious or whatever.

Yeah I agree with you. I think ATOTS is not for everyone. It’s for the people who can actually understand the subtle aspects of it and how it neatly merges with the viewer leaving some kinda feeling I cannot describe. But ofc ATOTS has its own flaws and I accept it. I was so tired of watching university bl plots and suddenly I gave this a shot and it was like a breath of fresh air from those lush green hills of pha pan dao. I was so fascinated to get a look into the tribal village life of Thailand and its natural beauty that I have made up my mind to visit that village soon. The traditional clothes and the marriage ceremony, it was all a treat to my eyes and years as I’m interested in knowing other cultures. The khlui flute song just elevated this experience. The kids only made it more cute. Even if we take the BL aspect of it which many find flaws in, this series would’ve still been as magical.

Perfection is unattainable and theres always room for more. And Bad buddy certainly wasn’t perfect. I agree with your view with the series too. Thank you for sharing. It’s hard to be the minority who didn’t like it that much about an overhyped show.

Why will they be mad at you for your relationship to begin with? It’s probably going to be some societal norms or some shit. It’s your life and they ain’t got no dibs on you in choosing who you choose to love. What does their children’s life affect anything at all? If you are happy w someone, world isn’t turning upside down. Rather than comprising your own happiness for your family’s happiness, you should have a patient talk with them and reason with them and wait till they come around.

I’m an Asian and while I see where it’s coming from, they only making excuses for the breakup and lazy writing atp. The reason was so dumb and silly like a scholarship ages ago lol. The parents are so shitty for projecting their beef on they kids. Like get a better reason like homophobia or religion or some shit🤡 this reason of theirs destroying patpran is so much arguable like they shoulda had a solid ass talk with the two families together. Instead they go on a honeymoon and didn’t even work(that guy got cheated af) and came back home like clowns. If they planning on financial stuff then say it. Where is the talk? Everything is so disconnected.

I see people, especially now after bad buddy is airing, criticising ATOTS and how there was no love, it was melodramatic and felt more like buddies than lovers. They are comparing it to bad buddy which clearly is more popular because it got the cliche bl plot which is now being executed in the best way possible. Idk about any of these people but for me ATOTS is something really personal. I completed the series in two days. And when it ended it left me devastated and couldn’t move on from it for a week and still haven’t quite moved on. I was putting myself in tians shoes and everything he went through I felt it too and it was too real. Even today when I watch some of the heavy scene or even hear the songs, my heart gets filled with emotions and I feel like crying. It feels like a fairytale and it means so much to me
