You dropped IHYV? YOU DROPPED IHYV?!? Bad, bad, bad Aghassi! lol
No, totally kidding! I'm not surprised actually. I've spoken to a few people who didn't get swept away by the hype & dropped it too. I've decided not to watch it all together. Aside from the fact that the female lead looks like the male lead's mom, the story doesn't interest me at all. Just from the synopsis & a trailer that I saw I got the impression it would be riddled with cliches & cheesiness done poorly.
What other mischief have you been up to lately, young lady? :)

Yeah, I'm here chillaxin' ... as much as I can. Just trying to take life one day and one drama at a time! lol I'm slowly making my way through Smile, You. I'm liking it, but there's something about it ... that's just not sucking me in 100%...
Anyway, I also watched the movie Breathless last night. Wow, it really leaves one breathless! :) Normally I'm able watch all kinds of graphic stuff in movies without being affected, but this was surprisingly hard for me to get through. Not because it was a bad movie, actually quite the opposite, but the unadulterated violence left my emotions raw. A very disturbingly profound film about family abuse & how it shapes the lives of people who experience it. I'd recommend it.
What's been up with you? Watching/watched anything that wowed you lately?

Did you forget to rate Sungkyunkwan Scandal or did you really rate it 0? And if so, why? :)
Otherwise, watching anything exciting at the moment?

Well, how old exactly are you? lol
You certainly write with the eloquence & reasoning ability of an adult!
You're right, age doesn't define one's level of maturity, but neither is age & mature mutually exclusive. With age a natural level of higher consciousness occurs in us whether we put it to good use or not.
I watch a lot of movies with violence & strong sexual content, and I've mistakenly rec'ed some of these inappropriate stuff (in my opinion) to kids as young as 13, 14 yrs old. Now if kids wanna find sex/violence it isn't hard, I know, but I just don't want them to be watching these movies/dramas because of me! Hence the disclaimer on my page. I know I'm not saving the world by doing this, but it's just something I feel I have to do on this site.
Anyway, back to dramas! Mi Joo ... I know, right? Great, great heroine. I love her. I'm thinking of doing over my review of the drama just to do the show & the actors more justice. When I wrote the 1st review I was a bit high on the drugs of finding such an amazing drama hidden away on my list so I just focused on the amazing sexual tension, but there's so much more that needs to be said about this drama! There really was no character I hated in Lovers. No one was perfect or completely evil. Just human. I loved that.
About the pregnancy, yup, it is pretty obvious because we know as long as the baby exists mr. hot bod Kang Jæ ain't going no where, right? lol :)
Glad you're liking it! And I'm going to add you anyway because any friend of Lovers is a friend of mine! Haha (and there's the little fact that I love talking to you! :). You certainly don't come across as underage. In fact, a lot of times I find it difficult to talk to teenagers under 18 ... I just don't think we have a lot in common.:p

Yup, I know of Cougar Town. Wow, your aunt & uncle must have a nice house if they chose to film there! :) Here in Europe people are not too welcoming of film crews who want to use their house as a location, but I can't say I don't understand them. As we've discussed film sets are hectic & chaotic!
I'm in Oslo, yeah. It's nice, but godawfully boring for a born n bred NY'er like me. Much much slower pace of life. Not enough activities and or cultural offerings for non-Norwegians. The terrain is rugged, but nonetheless beautiful. The people could be a little more friendlier. They are kinda like their weather ... frigid. Not everyone of course, but many. But it's safe, secure & I get opportunities to pursue my film career/dream that I probably never would have gotten Stateside so that's why I'm still here! :)

I asked the same very question to someone recently. It's not a bug! The trick is just to use up the entire 1800 characters we're allotted! :) Only problem is that after 800-900 characters you can't edit your comment once it's posted.
I see you're already over halfway through Lovers! Awesome! How are you finding it so far? Are you being seduced by our dimpled gangster? Is he making you feel weak in the knees? lol
What are some of your other favourite characters? I've been thinking about writing a MDL article on this topic, but gosh where do I find the time! You can see some of my favs on my profile!
By the way, you're of age, aren't you? Let's be friends! :)

I understand where you're coming from. But life IS kinda sorta like that, isn't it? :) It's messy, it's complicated, it's cruel. Yu Jin is a good woman & at the time I did feel sorry for her. At the same time it is what it is.
Ideally both he & Mi Joo would have been single and free to pursue each other, but a lot of times things don't work that way. And see for me that's why the drama works so well. It's so adult, so mature. I know I can not speak too broadly given that I have only been in dramaland for a short period of time, but so far I haven't come across any dramas that have handled its romantic arc so realistically.
As for the kids, yes! They were extremely well cast. Don't remember exactly but you can expect to see them again, briefly.
I hope it ends up good for you, chingu! The Lovers fan club loves welcoming new members! hehe :)

Believe me it's not a virtue of mine either when it comes to my entertainment. 99% of the time I hate the romantic development in dramas because it feels fake and unnatural. You know that if this were real life they would have kissed already or been intimate already, but in dramaland any form of reference to sexual intimacy is a scandal so they use comedy & all kinds of idiotic plot devices to keep the romance from moving forward at a natural pace. THIS is what I did NOT experience in Lovers.
In Lovers all the usual cliches: the love triangle, the separation of the main couple and so on were all natural & logical to the plot. I mean if Kang Jæ picks up and leaves his pregnant girlfriend who has stood by him & supported him for EIGHT years for another woman ... I don't know about you but I'd hate the sh!t out of him! lol
So here he feels an attraction to Mi Joo & in his gut he knows the relationship with Yu Jin has run its course, BUT he's trying to do the right thing by her & their child. By doing so the attraction doesn't go away, it just intensifies to a fevered pitch. And man, for me this was wicked to watch. I think he & Mi Joo have sick sexual chemistry & there are a few scenes that are so thick with tension they make the characters and YOU want to scream. ;p
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, but if you don't ... fair enough, I guess! To each their own! :)

Every time somebody comes at me with this question I say the same thing: Good things come to those who wait, better things come to those who are patient! :P
Besides did you read my review? This is a slow burn romance, but instead of frustrating you (like 99% of dramas) it titillates and excites you! That was how it was for me at least. And best of all when the couple finally comes together you don't just get some anti-climatic fish kiss & a piggyback ride, but the real deal.

Well I just came in from work not too long ago. I want dinner, a beer & some cuddles from my BF, in that order then I might resume watching Smile, You or try to complete the 2 movies I've been watching for the past 2 days.
If you like family dramas then I don't think you can go wrong with Ojakgyo Brothers. Furthermore, no matter what long drama you watch there'll always be annoying characters. You just can't avoid 'em! haha
Jury's still out on Smile, You. Everybody describes it as really cute & funny. I like cute & funny as long as it isn't childish. So things are moving slowly, but I'm starting to like the characters.
I like ghost stories so I'm going to watch Who Are You? Since I saw him in Coffee Prince, I've been looking for a likeable drama of what's his face (he plays the lead in WAY?) without much luck. I'm hoping this drama will be it. Be sure to keep me posted on how it's progressing for you! :)

Yes, in fact I highly recommend it! It's a nice little family drama about 4 brothers & their parents. The good thing about it is that each brother's story is told independently of each other with only the parents' story arc connecting them.
First up, the 2nd born son's story, then the 1st born's, the youngest & finally the 3rd born's story. The monster in laws appear only in the first story, that of the 2nd born brother. And a particularly nasty pair they are I tell you, esp the mother. OMG!
Then there's the daughter (the wife of the 2nd brother) played by Choi Jung Yoon. Aigooo ... just remembering her makes smoke come out of my ears! After this show I blacklisted that woman for life. She was soooo breathtakingly annoying! Especially with that shrill, dreadful tone of voice! Lord, no character has ever made me so irate in my life! lol But of course it's just my luck that I have to suffer through her presence once again in Smile, You even though her character here is way less irritating.
Once you past their story, however, the show becomes far more enjoyable. All the brothers are great, even the 2nd born. He was actually my favourite until he married that woman & moved in with her devil family. In the end I particularly loved the stories of Tæ Shik (the eldest) and Tæ Hee (the 3rd brother).

Is there a huge age difference? Omo, I usually avoid such dramas where I can. I prefer the characters to be around the same age! Moreover, dramaland has a nasty tendency to overplay age differences in the most superbly annoying way, esp if the younger party is female! I can give 18 vs 29 & Sweet 18 as solid examples!
Grrr... another point against this drama! :)
Things are looking dire for it, but I'll still keep it in mind for when Ms. Hyde makes an appearance. haha
And oh dear, tell me about those godawful Monster in Laws! Did you watch Ojakgyo Brother? Omo, omo, omo ... my blood pressure went through the roof with that one! LOL

Hehe, man, I think you and I are the same when it comes to Hong Sisters. I've only watched 2 of their dramas (well 1.5 since I have yet to finish The Greatest Love) & I can't stand their writing or their characters. Not to mention their dramas are the stupid, immature type of rom-com that I hate. The female leads are always problematic; tend to be of the innocent, wide-eyed variety who are scandalized by the merest of physical touch or mention of sex. ::eyeroll:: hehe
Nah, they're not for me. I'm pretty sure I'm going to skip Master's Sun, but I'll leave the window slightly open just in case someone wants to try & convince me to give it a chance (I don't know that that's possible).
LOL, ok, I'll keep Sang Doo in mind for when I'm in the mood for something weird. ;)
