I want to watch this but it is long. Is it worth it?
No. I'm up ep 24. Boring drama with an uninteresting lead couple. The female lead is like an overgrown child. Her relationship with the male lead feels more like cradle robbery than anything else. There's no chemistry, no spark ... because she's so darn infantile you have to fight the urge not to cringe whenever they interact. Being the strapping, dashing, GROWN man he is, I have no idea what Yi Chen sees in her. I wasted my time starting this ... now I have to finish it.
oh no this is a c drama can anyone tell me if joe and jiro are dubbed in this?
Because some TW actors are very well-known and well-loved on the mainland.
Apparently C-dramas dub even their own mainland Chinese actors. I did a bit of investigation on why this happens the other day and I found out that because China is sooooo huge with hundreds and hundreds of different dialects -- I heard that provincial dialects differ vastly from one to another -- that it's best to use voice actors who specialize in speaking very clear, simple, unaccented (as much as possible) mandarin that can be more easily understood by everyone across the country.
Even if the actors are from mainland China, they tend to speak in their own local dialect, which can and often times are quite difficult for people in other provinces to decipher. Remember Chinese is a tonal language so the sound of the words are very important to infer the correct meaning and context of what's being said.
I've heard the TW & Hong Kong accents are particularly strange for most Mainlanders to comprehend, that's why these actors always get dubbed.
While I prefer the actors' own speaking voice, dubbing doesn't really bother me. In fact, if so many people didn't complain about it I probably never would have realized their voices were dubbed! haha
While I'm not a fan of either of them, I'd definitely watch a drama with So Ji Sub and Shin Min Ah. They look really great together.
I'm not very fond of Lee Bo Young's acting, but I like her as a person so I'd make an exception and watch her in a happy melodrama if she plays next to her hubby and they're love interests. I did watch Save the Last Dance for Me, but I didn't like that drama very much. Waaaay too makjang & melodramatic for my tastes.

If it's a C-drama with TW actors then most likely it will be dubbed since the TW accent is difficult for most Mainlanders to grasp ... I've heard.
This is weird, to me, because I listen to both mainland Chinese and TW Chinese and I'm able to understand the usual words and phrases in both just fine. The Taiwanese seem to enunciate their words a bit better to my ears, but what do I know ... I'm not really a student of Chinese.
By the way, is the series fully subbed anywhere? It's only subbed up to ep 12 on dramacool.com.
Sweet..cute...funny...I'm at fifth episode...omg...probably goes to top five....:)))
It isn't too distracting, though. His dubbed voice is kind of similar to his and very pleasant to listen to. :)
So they were dating at the time then? haha I liked their chemistry on screen, but in rl ... did they look good together? I gotta go check out those vids.

I agree about Ella, but I also appreciated that for once the average, not so pretty, quirky, awkward girl got the gorgeous, sexy as hell, hot male lead! :p
I just finished watching Jerry in L,NF ... he's a little older and seemed to have done something to his face, but I still got some mad love for him! :)
Great article, Chriss. I liked her in The Princess's Man, the only role I've seen her in. So far I have no opinions about her. I remain indifferent for now, until I come across work of hers that moves me in a major way. Very beautiful and lovely girl though!
Ok, try going to the channel itself and searching for the drama in 'Playlist'. Here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCteBLoijWzlVFSR5BBtS_2Q
