Regarding power abuse and bullying, I heard some say it's exaggerated for entertainment purpose but some koreans said it's WORSE in real life. I believe it depends on individual experiences but I definitely know that South Korean schools have a bullying, violence and abuse problem. Some dramas like for example "The Glory" are based on true stories (that one drama alone was inspired by several incidents)

I hope they will acknowledge the fact that Non was groomed/manipulated by that preditory Tutor and don't make it seem like it's on the same level as normal cheating.
And those a-holes..I see that Jin is trying to defend Non but at the end of the day he's a bystander for not standing up for Non properly...can't believe I actually cried when that bastard Por died, but I just can't see kids dying and their friends reacting, gets me every time.
When a series makes me feel conflicted about characters, most of the time it's because they're written well. Overall fantastic Series so far. Binged Ep 1 to 7 in one sitting today. Very excited for the next Ep

So firstly, I agree that she could've (honestly should've) stayed Gyaru and socialize with her peers. However I do think that this is still a pretty ok movie for those who are actively looking for motivation because they don't think they can achieve anything. I do wish that they didn't push this narrative that being in a fashion subculture makes you dumb or unfocused but that is sadly a prejudice some have against Gyarus

Recently watched it without subs since the ones on the official video are wrong/not timed correctly and idk if it's because of that but I don't really understand where the romance happened, the 2 women who I thought had something seemed more like it was only implied. Maybe I need to understand chinese better to know what exactly their status is...either way it was still funny just watching the comedic scenes without subs. If you understand chinese this movie is probably hilarious and also cute

Agree. I am a big fan of his work. Everything has been a masterpiece so far and Last Twilight is no exception. However I do wonder why he chose to go with this ending. I thought the point was to portray disability as something that won't stop you from leading a happy life.
I don't hate this ending it's just a bit fairytale like and kinda defeats the whole point about pity and independence of visually impaired people. I genuinely thought that moment where the surgery went wrong was a slap of reality that would tell the audience: not everyone will be "cured" and that's ok.

When I heard that Aof worked closely with real blind people on this production I thought he would go the realistic but hopeful route with Day staying blind and learning how to still be independent and happy. I guess they kinda did that during the 3 years of separation but then did a complete 180 last minute. I love the series but idk what to think about this ending. Then again I cannot speak on behalf of the visually impaired community as a sighted person. It's just what I would've prefered as a message

That last episode was intense. I am very impressed with how well written the characters are. I love how everyone in this show has their own baggage and is more or less morally grey rather than pure good or evil. Yui especially is an interesting personality and Nara delivered a phenomenal performance. I've seen Meiko in Manner of Death so her talent came to no surprise and I also knew Film from GMMTV. Overall everyone was perfectly cast and did a very good job but I just wanna say that Nara as Yui and Best as Tonkla were truly outstanding. Wow.

There are heteros everywhere and for years we had a lack of queer content. Now we finally get some LGBT couples so of course we are obsessed because we were starved for so long lol. And even in non-LGBT fiction it is allowed to have headcanons and our own interpretation. It doesn't affect you in any way so why are you so mad? Whether people see them as friends, bros or lovers doesn't change the series and you can watch whatever you like, we don't judge you do we? Kinda weird how you complain about BL fans but you are the one pointing it out every time...if we started to point out every hetero ship and accuse you of "making everything straight" I bet you would go crazy. And it's not just BL fans. When 2 people look good together and we think they could work as a couple, gender doesn't matter

The main leads started off on the wrong foot but they're actually kinda cute later. My favorite thing about this is the comedy...seriously the jokes and comedic timing in this are perfect. I regularly rewatch Ep 9 cuz it's so funny, some of the goofiest kdrama episodes ever

Honestly wth is even going on in this movie. At least I enjoyed every Kairi scene because he is so cute and they are so cute together, was so worried she'd choose the cold quiet guy who can't even stand up for his gf like in every damn straight romance but I am so glad she chose the dude she actually had chemistry with and more importantly the guy who treats her well. I understand that Toji was blackmailed but he could've done something different to prevent Sae from leaking the pic like trying to snatch her phone and deleting it or literally anything, he did absolutely nothing but I guess it was just a simple plot device considering how that was completely forgotten when he started talking to her again at the Matsuri

They can include all the fetish and mental health stuff they want, it's not a bad thing to talk about those topics and including child abuse and stalker storylines is not the issue. But to imply that the SA and trauma is the reason that "turned" Kairi into a lesbian??? Nah bro

I agree. It's common sense nowadays that some disabilities shouldn't be "healed" in media because portraying disability as a sad pitiful thing is a tired old trope. Obviously some people's reality is that they'll never get a "cure" for their disability and that can be scary for some but sending a message of hope, that you can be happy with visual impairment, is the right way in this case.

It's a shame that they decided to stuff four chapters worth of content into each episode instead of letting it play out because it could be so good if it wasn't so rushed and all over the place..it's already rough due to the low budget but many projects have proven that acting skills and editing can carry a low budget show or even a bad plot. I see some pretty decent perfomances in many scenes, the main leads have good chemistry and I see a lot of potential in some of the cast so the acting isn't the problem. Maybe the budget wasn't enough for good editors or screenwriters and that's why it's so messy? idk
Episode 2 was a lot better than Ep 1 though.
