I saw the translations of that song by other people and I was a little worried because they were all vastly different from my interpretations and I was thinking could I have made a mistake? I'm so glad someone else agrees with my interpretations of the song

The character for "Bai" can have two pronunciations depending on the context. Bai or Bo but in this case they went with Bai so it's not entirely wrong just that the set decided to go with Bai in this drama

No, in the book SF falls for this other female deity who looks exactly like XJ (because XJ was modelled from that female deity), they don't actually meet in Heaven. He's intrigued by XJ whilst they were in the city of flames when he saw that she looks exactly like his crush. In the drama, Xi Xuan is the bird who is always by the GOW's side talking to her when she's upset, as Ting Nu and Siming says. There's also a flashback in ep 48 when he dresses her up in nice clothes as a bird so I assume they are friends. However according to the conversation between XJ and SF ep 56, it seems like XJ has never seen him in his human form or something along those lines so that's why she doesn't recognize him when he goes to save her.

I've given an explanation as to why I've translated his title as Dijun if you're watching the subbed version at my (the actual subber's) site in the subber's note. Dijun is a title rather than a name. I believe he is the same Dijun/ white emperor as the white emperor in destiny of the white snake (the actor who plays Dijun/HC is also in that drama too.
