they are a military family, who climbed bc of their contributions at war, so they are not noble but from a humble origin. they were framed as a warning for commoners to not get in the way of noble families, as result of emperor not wanting to reward nobles but the ones from humble origins

guys i saw a spoiler of the novel saying that li rong become empress, is this true by any means?

guy was really happy about the thought of pwx being "dead", that sick behaviour. also he thinking li rong would marry him even with this being one of the persons involved in her husband "demise", thats really crazy

theres only 2 things i have to complain now: the amount of screen time of su rongqing, the fact that his story line can lead some to think that he was someone who had to become this way (with the no choice excuse) and him having the best ost. oh no, are 3 things now, someone pls kick this guy out of my screen

i disagree when people say that today episodes (16 and 17) were fillers, especially episode 17 that i will comment now. I do think that this episode gave to us and li rong a lot of insights about her relationship with pei wen xuan and in a way made li rong resolve some of the misconceptions she had about su rongqing (as a righteous, something he never was). about the relationship, even though they had a miserable marriage in their 1st life, she always known where pei wen xuan was, she'd knew his steps, so even not being close anymore, she never had to deal with the fear of losing him (this i talk about the possibility of him diying and leaving her alone), but at 2nd life she had to deal, and even if she has faith on him, she couldnt avoid to longing for pwx and being afraid about not seeing him again, like she even threatened to kick out her close servant when she talked about pwx "death", she didnt paid attention about su rongqing gifts and shameless behaviour of the third party. about su rongqing she had the opportunity to fully understand what type of person he is, someone who would crawl his way to her without caring about dignity, not even respecting her "mourning", someone who was never a bystander of the corruption and power hungry of noble families, but someone who is willing and at last is a part of this rotten system.
