Title The Rise of Ning Spoiler
I have so many questions that need to be answered.. they also have me scratching my head in pure confusion.. did…
- The mystery revolving around her mother's death is still unsolved. There's no solid evidence that's pointing them to a certain direction/person yet. It's all just speculations.

- The big mystery surrounding the Fl's birth is that her father is not Luo. Finding out about this will change the FL and the ML's relationship status and the ML can openly pursue her. The drama has not gotten this far yet but based on the novel her biological father is the Duke of Ying.

- Yes, the duke forced himself on her (based on the novel. We haven't gotten here yet in the drama so I'm not sure if they'll follow it)

- If you watched the drama, during the time the FL was sick the ML called for the physician. It was stated that her mother was taking labor-inducing medications and this may effect the FL's future health issues. The physician wants to know what exactly the medication was that FL's mom was taking to properly treat the FL. ML went to investigate and this is how he found out about her origin of birth. This is why no one questioned her birth since there was nothing to be suspicious about (all the people that knew were sent away or dead) and they're unaware of her sickness.

- The FL went to see her because she wanted answers. And also given, not everything is predictable. Yes, more precautions should've been taken but it was a hasty mistake. The FL is someone that is self-oriented at times. And this is one of those times since this is technically her own problem that she wants to solve. Vice versa with the ML with his other problems. Characters are meant to have some flaws if people want a realistic storyline.

hi, I'm on episode 7 and are they really siblings?
No, you're almost there. Keep watching lol

I think it was pretty reasonable for her to be mad at him. He gave her his entire will and went on a suicide mission.…
I get what you mean. I was frustrated at first too until they started to reveal more of their history and I was like yeahhh I wouldn't tell a soul either if it was during that era. The rules were really strict against women and it would ruin her reputation regarding how intimate they were. More so, she could be forced to marry him if anyone knew. I think she also doesn't want to embarrass herself with the ML being one of the people that she holds dearly, I empathize how shameful and scared she must've felt. I love the dynamics between the FL & the ML and that she was able to tell him. I'm so excited for tmrw's episode!

I don’t really understand why the FL was so pissed at the ML for what he was doing. I mean she’s running into…
I think it was pretty reasonable for her to be mad at him. He gave her his entire will and went on a suicide mission. It's naturally upsetting if someone you love and care for intentionally puts themselves in danger especially putting their life on the line. She's still human at the end of day, and as humans we tend to act on emotions. He apologized and explained (as he should). She didn't drag it and told him how she felt. I think it flowed realistically well. She can protect herself, by using her brain. She doesn't know martial arts but that doesn't mean she has no skills. She protected the ML plenty of times as well. The FL and ML work together hand in hand. Each have their own strengths that uplifts the other when in trouble.

From my understanding (for someone who watched a lot of historical dramas 🤣) societies back in the day are…
Yes! War was a huge factor.

in all these types of dramas to me a concubine is just a fancy way of saying the female is the side hoe or mistress…
From my understanding (for someone who watched a lot of historical dramas 🤣) societies back in the day are very patriarchal and having a big family is crucial for all sorts of reasons. A lot of marriages are not based on love but rather status. Because it is a patriarchal system, it’s the norm to have multiple wives. Majority of the time, a man needs to be successful and wealthy enough for her family to benefit off from, if that’s the case families will force their daughters to marry. A guy can be forced to marry if the girl’s family is also well off. Having multiple family backgrounds to support you gives you more resources, connections and advantages. Because women aren’t allowed to do many things (even work) they heavily rely on their husbands. Men can either marry for lust or for status benefits because they’re “superior” to women. Crazy that it still happens in today’s society.

I'm really upset with Tencent for changing the airing schedule to only one episode on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,…
Genuine question, you said Chinese Censorship only allows 40 eps but Ashes of Love is 63, Ruyi’s Love In The Royal Palace is 87, Goodbye My Princess is 52, etc. lol. How come these dramas can exceed the 40 eps duration? Just wondering.

I feel like the casting of the heroine is not suitable for the role. Her body language and expressions would fit…
Personally, I think she fits the role. She has the appearance of an innocent & weak girl but cunning in her own way. Her character is also not someone that went through a whole lot of trauma so I don’t expect angst from her that will change her that much. She’s a rebellious kid who is loved and spoiled wholeheartedly by her grandma and mama Lin ever since she was young. It’s also a refreshing change to the female leads that looks mature and stern when seeking revenge.

Title The Rise of Ning Spoiler
color me confusedso is Luo Yi Ning really related to that wretched family?did that family really kill her mom…
- Luo Yining is not related to the Luo family AT ALL by blood. Her mother is married to the Luo family but she shares no blood relations with them. This will be revealed in ep 8.

- Luo Yining is still trying to uncover the truth behind her mother’s death. This is still a mystery.

- Luo Shen Yuan is unfortunately related to the Luo family. He is the illegitimate child.

- Lu Jia Xue suspects Luo Shen Yuan to be involved in the case that he’s working on. Luo Shen Yuan fought with him before (under disguise) so Lu Jia Xue has more reasons to be on his tail. Lu Jia Xue and Luo Yining have history.
During the time when she was sent away from the Luo family, she formed a friendly relationship with the blind Lu Jia Xue. He’s in love with her. Now that he regained his vision, he’s desperately trying to look for her while she’s terrified of him, thinking that he wants to kill her.

Is it just me who is getting irked by the appearance of SML? May be its just 1 episode per day that it feels long…
That’s how it feels right??? But I hope not, that’ll mean that we won’t be seeing any romance at all 😣 at least by ep 20, she should know! I just wanna start kicking my feet and let my ship sail. I mean, in the novel she didn’t know until he was acknowledged by the family and had a title. Maybe it’ll probably take that long 🥲😪

"Yeah no, I take back what I said when I said he was interesting." Welcome to the club! 😂
OMGG STAWWP 🤣🤣 But yes, I’ve entered the LJX hate club 🥹
On The Rise of Ning Oct 17, 2024
OKURRR ngl LJX’s first appearance was great. He was cool but his obsessive behavior; -♾️ aura points. Yeah no, I take back what I said when I said he was interesting. Their backstory was cute but now, he’s annoying 😖 No sense of respect for FL. My the biggest ick is when men thinks “no” is “playing hard to get”. Bro, take the hint. She’s not interested 😫 I mean I expected this behavior 🙂‍↕️ I should let this drama marinate while I study for my exams. Let me know when she finds out about her identity. We’ll take it from there. LSY protect our girl 🥹

Fun fact: CS (sml) did a cameo inTLP with Ren Min as the guy that she was forced to marry in ep 1 🤣

i think we’re all intrigued by the cold, mysterious, and “bad boy-ish” type 🤣 i haven’t watch Lost…
And like you said, we all have our own preferences. You can agree to disagree. I said “all” implying to those who also find LJX interesting. I’m also commenting under a post that shares the same thoughts. That’s the kind of vibe I got from him that’s why I enjoy his scenes. I’m not saying “everyone” that’s watching TRN. It also doesn’t mean I don’t like watching ZWY.

I like the chemistry between the fl and the ml but also with the 2nd... but the thing is that I find the Marquis…
i think we’re all intrigued by the cold, mysterious, and “bad boy-ish” type 🤣 i haven’t watch Lost You In Forever so idk who TJC is. I do notice that I get more drawn to LJX when he shows up 🥲🤣 not that i ship him with the FL but it’s just a different feel when I see him.

OK I'm completely obsessed with this now and the wait is complete torture now that I'm all caught up, any complete…
• The Sleepless Princess (typical FL but she’s the witty unfavorable princess and he’s the cold ML. the plot is not similar but i get the same vibes for some reason lol)
• Serenade of Peaceful Joy (ren min plays a supporting role here but this is also set in the Song dynasty)
• Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty (smart FL. ML fell first, gentle natured + family dynamics)
• In Blossom (strong FL. ML has always loved her since they were young and continues to love her)
• A Girl Like Me (strong & smart FL. FL fell first, ML fell harder. ML is gentle natured)
• The Princess Weiyoung (strong & smart FL who’s mistreated by her “family” & seeks revenge. tactful, quick-witted and independent)
• Sword and Brocade (smart FL, ML fell first. focuses on family dynamics & affairs- this one’s the most similar plot and characters wise )
On The Rise of Ning Oct 14, 2024
I honestly feel bad for Ren Min. Because she doesn’t have a large fan base (internationally) people love to hop on that hate train. Yes, I’m talking about those who have only seen TLP or never seen her at all and automatically goes “mhm yeah, she can’t act” “she’s annoying,” but glaze at overrated actors who plays the same role in every drama 🥱

I like this show. Unfortunately, none of the leads have a strong international fan base to defend the rating.…
Her character was just poorly written (i didn’t like her character very much there either lol) and the visuals didn't make it any better. The whole production team f'ed her up basically. Xiao Zhan also have a larger fan base so they would rather blame it on Ren Min. A lot of people forget that acting is acting. Constructive criticisms are always a good thing for growth but not a lot of people have common decency. People just love hopping on hate trains to feed their ego.

No because she was very pretty in Serenade Of Peaceful Joy too. Her co-star in SOPJ called her ugly during their live stream. She covered up for him saying that he's just playing around but he continued to be very rude towards her. (he received a lot of hate and apologized afterwards). Then comes The Longest Promise which was a huge let down for Ren Min, and since Xiao Zhan was her co-star, she received a lot of hate for a poor script and makeup team. So apparently, she's the "reason" why TLP was a flop. People are so toxic and hateful. And now with The Rise Of Ning, everything she does is a crime. I bet if this drama does well they'll say it's all because of ZWY, by all means it's not a lie but it's giving ignorance. They're even saying that she's "too dolled up." It's okay to not like everyone but to make negative remarks just because?? Get some help.

- glazing “fujun & furen” (comparing the actresses because they’re not over AYTO 🙄)
- have only saw one (TLP, her worst one that includes bad script, bad character, bad visual, overall the whole production team did her dirty) or none of her works but she “sucks at acting” just after watching 1 ep 🧐
- voice, too monotone or “annoying” because it sounds too “baby” (this is so sad cuz that’s her real voice, it also doesn’t sound like she’s “exaggerating” for her character either. this is not even about how the voice doesn’t align with the character but just straight up “oh, tough luck to have a voice like that” like nobody’s telling you to stfu cuz you sound like a horse so suck it up or leave if it’s bothering you that much likeee it ain't that hard to keep your "annoying" little subjective opinions to yourself 🥱)
- she’s ugly (apparently not good enough for ZWY, again comparing her to WCR, his recent co-star).
