That's ironic of them to compare an actress that's been in the acting industry for 15+ years. ZLY has a greater fanbase nationally and internationally, of course she'll have more supporters. But the way they're supporting ZLY by comparing her to someone that's still in the process of growth and learning, says a lot about her fanbase. TSOML and TRON are two completely different dramas, different casts, different directors, screenwriters, etc. Similar plot, story, etc. whatever, nothing's original. At the end of the day, it's how the actors delivered the story. It's highly subjective whether you enjoyed it or not. But keep in mind that "comparison is the thief of joy".
I remember when I first started watching Zhao Lusi and everyone was criticizing her looks, acting, how she keeps picking the same projects, etc. But look at her now, she's doing better in all those categories. Of course, there's still a lot of haters but my girl is thriving in her career.
One thing I love about Ren Min is that she's always challenging herself. Yining's character is new to her, she admitted that it was hard since it was something different. There's always room for growth. Not just actors/actresses, we're all constantly learning as we go too. But sometimes, this world is too big for these airheads. Ren Min is also aware about her insecurities, so when people make comments about it, she doesn't let it affect her because she accepts her flaws.
People yap about natural beauty but talk the most shit about an actress's natural facial features. It doesn't matter if they got plastic surgery or not, people will always talk. That's what you call copy and paste, expecting everyone to all look the same.
"LJX’s redemption arc was sloppy." There wasn't any redemption. He put her in danger, and than "saved" her from…
yeah, i don’t think he has a redemption arc either but just the way they made him stand in front of the arrow (that was meant for him anyway) to show that he “did something” for Yining was sloppy. I don’t think that was necessary. I saw a comment saying that he deserved better, like deserve what? His character was far from redeemable, he should’ve received a harsher punishment.
LJX’s redemption arc was sloppy. He should’ve just went to jail for his crimes. This is why I try to stay out of fandoms. So many people lack common sense and empathy. He did nothing good throughout the entire series and literally kidnapped the bride on her wedding day. Girl told him since day one she’s over him but he keeps pestering her till THE DAY HE DIED. Idky ppl were expecting her to cry like GBMP when Gu Jian died in front of Xiaofeng.
Will there be a breakup write after got together? Or are they both in the plan together? Haven't watched today's…
Just watched one of the interview and Ren Min said later on when Shenyuan was plotting things, Yining still trust him. She is probably not aware of his plans but knows that he has his reasons.
LJX is unbearable but y’all, that hand placement when he pushed Yining against the wall 🤌 that was sweet of CS to put his hand behind her when she hit the wall
I love this drama alot but honestly, did we have to wait 33 episodes for the first kiss... And what's with the…
If you're big on romance, then this probably won't be your best drama. Given the circumstances, I think it's at a good pace for romance. Although, I do wished that they have reveal the birth secret sooner. But if you think about it, there's a lot of pieces that needs to come together for their relationship to flourish. The ML was basically nothing in the beginning. The purpose of his leveling was to have the FL's support. So it wouldn't make sense for them to reveal her birth secret before he is officially recognized by his family. In addition, foreshadowing events like introducing secondary characters like the FL's real family before the big revelation. The main plot corresponds to the FL's origin of birth, so it makes sense why it's not heavy on romance. With only 7 episodes remaining, I don't think they'll drag out the political stuff and there's some romantic scenes that we haven't seen yet. I'm sure they'll give us a proper romance between the leads before the drama ends. Personally, this plot has been keeping me engage. Usually if the romance starts too early in the drama, I get bored in the middle of it lol
No, they didn't grow up together as siblings. She was sent to go live separately from the family and came back when she was fairly grown. There was only one flashback scene of them together as kids; other than that, she doesn't recall any memories of him and they are essentially strangers. She wasn't the best behaved child, so now she's trying to make up to him for that one flashback scene. He is kind to her because he feels indebted to her mother, who was the only one that looked out for him when he was young. He also learns about her birth origin early on so he never really regarded her as a "sister". The idea of fake siblings sounds weird and uncomfortable but the script is very well-written that helps them transition their relationship in a respectful manner.
Green flag ML supremacy >>> Shenyuan is the definition of very demure, very mindful. I love how respectful and patient he is. Not to mention, he was prepared to accept Yining’s rejection if her feelings weren’t mutual. And I love how Yining indirectly rejected Miss Sun’s request, like yesss girl you better lock in on your man.
Just finished the Are you the one while waiting for more episodes of this one and I must say ZWY showing big progress…
ZWY actually filmed The Rise of Ning first then hopped onto the set of Are You The One right after they wrapped up TRON. However, AYTO just happened to aired first.
ML pulls sword on Ning and shooting arrow at her? it wasn't in the novel as far as I know so I don't get the reason…
I think when Shenyuan said to Yining in ep 30, “if in the future, i have no choice but to go against my conscience, and everyone lost their trust in me, would you still believe me by then” is foreshadowing that event. We’ll have to keep watching to find out
Both Zhang Wang Yi and Ren Min executed their roles here very well. I love the dynamics between them and oh, how I'm falling in love with their chemistry on and off screen. This drama definitely deserves the hype. It's been awhile since I feel so attached to the main couple. The "sibling" thing can be weird to some but if you think about the circumstances, they didn't grow up together, and Shenyuan never saw her as his "sister". I'm looking forward to see how Yining will change the way she looks at her "San Ge". Zhang Wang Yi can really act with his eyes, such endearing eyes. Ren Min delivers herself well and my heart melts for her every time. So far, this series has been keeping me entertain, I usually get distracted and forget to come back and finish an on-air drama. But this one, I gotta get the express pass.
I’m going to be mad if Zhao Ming Xu makes trouble for Yining… especially if she has a crush on Third Brother…
If I remember correctly, Zhao Ming Zhu had a crush on Cheng Lang in the novel. But it seems like Cheng Lang isn't part of the main plot anymore so most likely it might be LJX. Or it might not be anyone and she's just jealous of Yining because the duke dotes on her more.
From my understanding, Grandma Luo was also unaware about Yining's birth. It feels like the story is stretching to fill time. Although I do like some changes that the scriptwriters made, there's also some things that got me like "okay and?" As for Cheng Lang, it’s a shame when a character with potential gets sidelined. When the focus shifts to secondary characters like Sixth Sister and Lin Mao, particularly if their storylines seem less relevant to Yining’s journey can dilute the main plot. Love triangles can add drama, but if they detract from the central narrative, it feels like unnecessary filler. It seems like the scriptwriters might be trying to balance character arcs. But we're on a time crunch here. Hopefully, as the series progresses, they'll tie everything together in a satisfying way.
If it wasn't for their regulations that dramas can only be 40 episodes and about 45 mins long, a lot of these…
I remember latest dramas in 2022 exceed the 40 eps thing such as Immortal Samsara and Love in Flames of War. The longest c-drama I’ve seen was Ruyi’s Love in the Royal Palace which had 87 eps but that was back in 2018. If having a limit of 40 eps is another regulation, that’s gonna ruin so many future dramas that may need more time to fully play out their stories. It’s all just gonna seem rushed.
Does anyone know it’s Ren Min ‘s real voice in this drama? It sounds so sweet and the way she says San Ker…
It seems like it’s her real voice if you watched behind the scenes. And you’re missing out if you haven’t seen her in Serenade of Peaceful Joy lol that’s her debut drama, you should check it out!
I just wanna say Luo Yining got balls, knowing that she's not physically strong to protect herself but still take risks to do what she needs to do. I like how consistent they are with Yining's character. She's tactful, smart, ambitious, and quick-witted. Some FLs would start off strong then as the drama progresses they rely on the ML so much that they start to look weak.
On another note, I think this drama is at a good pace but 40 eps is too short. They could've made it 50 if they weren't going to reveal her birth secret sooner. I just want more Luo Shen Yuan and Wei Yining that's all.
