Title The Fallen Leaf Spoiler
I’m glad I decided to watch this drama. This was complex and different. I love how Baifern portrayed her character. I didn’t like how she was ‘attracted’ or had a romantic relationship with her uncle in law but after watching a few episodes i kinda understood her situation. I don’t fully understand the drama because not all the subtitles are out yet but I’ve seen the ending cut and it’s considered a ‘happy ending’ for Nira. Those who are hesitant to watch it, you should totally give it a chance. I think this drama focuses on self-love and finding yourself rather than a typical love story between a guy & a girl.

Yes! That is exactly the type of ending I envisioned would make me happy. He finally puts Xiao Feng's happiness…
Honestly, I can sympathize on why he wanted to kill Gu Jian. what really bothered me was when Gu Jian took advantage of Xiao Feng again by deluding her to receive the love she has for GXW. He knew what he was getting himself into despite LCY’s temperament. Both of them are selfish for Xiao Feng’s love. A lot of people are forgetting that LCY is actually fullfilling one of Xiao Feng’s wishes. . .

I too, wouldn’t mind if they chose this as the ending. He was so caught up in hatred and revenge, it became the chains that bind him. He sets her free not only indicating true love but letting her go in which he wish for her peace and happiness.

But I wouldn’t mind a cliché ending either where they’re both recarnated with a less complicated background status and met again in different era because hat the monk said, “you both are predestined for 3 lives.” But then it’ll be a cliffhanger so whatever ending it is, it is what it is, hmph. My heart breaks for these two.

“On her social media, the author revealed that she had written an alternate ending many years ago, which she recently unveiled. After chasing Xiao Feng to the Yumen gate, Li Chengyin discovers that Beizhao has in fact already released Xiaofeng. Li Chengyin shoots an arrow in her direction; with his skilled shooting but he did not injure her as the arrow went safely through her hair. Xiaofeng shoots back in return, injuring Li Chengyin and leading everyone goes to his rescue. In the meanwhile Xiaofeng and Ah Du run in the sunshine on verdant fields, towards the direction of home.

The author also added that “Li Chengyin can escape that arrow, as Xiao Feng is much less skilled than himself in terms of strength and accuracy. The fact that he chose to be hit by the arrow goes to show that he (wanted to) let her go because of true love.” The delivery of an author-approved surprise ending which allowed the female protagonist to escape the clutches of death nine years later thrilled fans of the novel, evoking reactions ranging from crying out loud to intense joy” (cr: jayne stars).

I'm shocked, and quite honestly, I'm really disappointed that Gu Jian essentially kidnapped Xiao Feng, held her…
Exactly my thoughts!! SMH

Hi! Can someone spoil me the ending? Is it a tragic one? Does the main couple stay together or no?
It’s currently ongoing so I’m not sure about the drama since it has some changes here and there but if it goes accordingly to the novel then it will have a tragic ending.

I agree, she stupid and timid ~ I use to think ashes of love Jin Mi blinded by revenge was bad and stabbed Phoenix…
Some parts, I agree with you. Yes, it doesn’t make sense of how he could avenge for his mother’s death yet the revenge she chose was to forget. By reading the translated novel and so far in the drama, you can see that she does have a place in his heart. I didn’t say her love for him was incomparable to her parents’ LOL. Just because she couldn’t kill him in the beginning? At some points, she did attempt to kill him or maybe there was a time that she was heavily triggered to kill him but didn’t work out? I mean, he is the crown prince and things aren’t as easy as you think it is. ????????‍♀️

Just because she did not “kill” in order to revenge does not make her stupid. Although she is overwhelmed by grief, guilt and vengeance, killing the main lead wouldn’t bring back her tribe, her grandfather nor the people she loved. And even if she did kill him, she will only be hurting more and live a miserable life filled with guilt & sorrow. Like Ashes of Love, after Jin Mi killed Phoenix, that didn’t make her happy nor make a difference and she didn’t even know that he was innocent before she felt like thatv. With or without the unfeeling pill, after killing the one she loved only brought her more pain. So her option was to forget. Forgetting him was the best revenge because she chose to let him suffer alone with the memories yet he washed it away along with her. In addition, he’s the crown prince. She initally married him as a peace treaty in the novel. Of course she hates Cheng Yin therefore she wants to leave but he refuses to let her go and that’s what made it difficult for her. She was willing to sacrifice so much for her country and her love. I actually admire Xiao Feng for keeping her head up. She may not be a kick-ass female lead but she surely ain’t the type to let people trample on her either. She has the biggest heart, which is her greatest quality yet probably her biggest flaw.
