i didn’t read the novel.. But personally thot the beginning of special edition is more interesting than OG. I didn’t really get the 1st 5 minutes of the OG beginning.. but Wushu and Ping2 made us brushed away all doubts 😜

Additions? Hmm .. can’t recall wat additions… probably I hv watched too many dramas… Can only see the beginning scene is different. Lol, I ll do another rewatch after S2 whilst waiting for S3… Wahaa.. Hope not another 5 years of waiting.. Finn ( young Zhang Ge) can then take over the adult role in S3😂😂
