I started the bingewatch today. I am following the drama for Wang Yang, but I am fast forwarding the scenes with the women. The drama has too many characters, to keep track of their purpose. The drama stresses gender descrimination, but the FL flaunt her sexuality in the work place. She wears wide legged short pants up to the crotch. Is there no formal dress code in the work place? The women also like to get drunk. When it gets cringey, being drunk is no longer cute.
LOL Heroes Filming Duration: November 16, 2020 to March 28, 2021, precedes Snow Eagle Lord.
It's really the production team, the creative designers and the money budget that will dictate and style these drama projects. I noticed that many women including the main lead wore pink, and they donโt come from the same sect.
Lol ... just watch him as the psycho in Under the Power ... creepy guy. He is very good at it.
Now I know why I didn't watch it. 55 episodes! I liked Seven Tan and Han Dong the year it was released, but stayed away from the longform drama. I guess I will give it a try, to evaluate Han Dong's villainous performance.
Review is up. Let's hope for better dramas, and scripts for all of these actors in the future. Stay blessed ๐.
Thanks for the review. I debated if I should write a review, but I have erased 80% of the drama already. "Too many cooks spoil the broth"! Too many executives in charge of the production, and too many writers and some dull characters.
I don't know why they credited the lawyer with the U.S. Supreme Court. Some know-it-all writer wanted to impress people with his "knowledge" of the U.S. legal system. He probably "baidued" (...the Google equivalent) it, to write his script. ๐
The ending case was actually well written. I learned from it
We learned something of China's judicial system and the standard operating procedures, watching XME's interrogation and trial. It is educational for the public and lawyers in training in China.
Concurrent means "existing, happening, or done at the same time". Jikai is sentenced to six years and ten years. Subtitle: "Sentences are to be served concurrently, resulting in a total of fifteen years in prison." If his prison sentences are concurrent, wouldn't he serve ten years only? Also, did writer add 6 and 10, and come up with 15?
The final scene of ep 40 was cold. Poor He Lu Yuan didn't even get a chance to declare himself to An Ni. The six months' time jump was not to his advantage. An Ni ran off deliberately. She doesn't have a romantic bone in her body. The writer forgot to add another time jump, where they finally to become a couple.
King of Creep Xu Mu En was manipulating the interrogation and trial. His parting shot to An Ni, "I love you", was skin crawling. He is smart enough to break out of jail during his incarceration for the concurrent death penalty, life imprisonment and ten years sentences. LOL XME may have another network in stealth mode working on the jailbreak. It would have been satisfying if he broke out of jail, and was hunted down and killed by the police.
Comatose Li Yi Tang had a miraculous recovery. She will be drinking her Kulua drink every day, waiting for Jikai's release from prison in fifteen years. I am not sure why Jiao's husband got a management promotion.
Kevin Tan did a walk on job. He should have been in the Guest Role Category. As far as Main Lead character ranking, Han Dong would be considered the 2nd Main Lead, because of the complexity of the plot, but he didn't show up for more than a dozen episodes. He had a lot more to say than He Lu Yuan. At most, he would be 3rd Main Lead.
Han Dong is the King of Cringe! What was the deal with Xiao Mu En breaking down and crying forlornly when An Ni…
I have seen that behavior in other villains. They don't get my sympathy. I even had a boss who was disliked and feared by the entire department staff and our vendors, because she would berate and insult them, After one flareup, she went into her office and started crying.
