I am surprised that Emperor did not tell Fan Yu to marry Princess. Old Empress was stupid, not to think of it. Since Fan Yu was CP, he would become Emperor when the father died. Her daughter would be Empress, and remain in the Royal tree.

I did not understand why the Uncle was in jail, when he first appeared. He was probably the most ethical of all the ministers in the previous dynasty. That was a bad decision to lock him up.
