From the comments above, Tian Lian returns after the ep 40 finale. He should have returned much earlier for greater impact, in my opinion.

His costumes are fine looking. The only outfit that does not look as sharp, is his monochromatic blue theme. The material seemed tired.

I was just thinking that anyone who bought the VVIP express package, can catch up on all the dramas in the Youku library for the one week. I will wait for the final six episodes to drop.

Kisskh and dramacool seem to be en par with episodes. I doubt they will be able to access the VIPP episodes sooner.

All ep 35 did, was give Jinyan more screen time. The weasel should have been executed. Jinxuan's head should have been chopped off, as well.

Jinxuan said that he and Jinyan entered the eunuch club together as boys, and they grew up together, and were closer than brothers. What is closer than a sibling relationship???? Emperor said that he and Jinxuan grew up together, and studied together. Side by side, the three men's ages seem to vary.

On a scale of 1 to 10, Ep 35 was a 2. The drama plot came to a grinding halt. Jinyan talks too much, and had too many scenes. He is such a overacting character. Lucky supporting actor got the camera on him many times. Overall, he might have talked more, and over-gestured more than Xiao Se. XD This performance is his audition tape for future acting roles.

Throughout the drama, does Emperor know what his son, Prince Yu Chi is plotting? Unfortunately Director Eunuch is constantly at Emperor's side. Does Emperor even realize the Eunuch is backstabbing him?

I have to check out his dramas, too.

That was the best line in the entire drama. He spoke his mind to Emperor, without fear of reprimand. Xiao Ling Chen deserves a big promotion when Chong becomes Emperor. Prime Minister of all departments! He actually has more intercommunication skills than Xiao Se.

Prince Xiao Ling Chen is the only one who stood up to Emperor, and spoke boldly to him. Everyone just stares blankly when they are via-a-vis with Emperor. Even Uncle Xiao Yue Li does not talk like that to his brother Emperor.

Did you notice that Chi and Director Eunuch resemble each other? In ep 34, they were sitting down, and they looked like father and son. LOL

I LOL'd when they appeared in drag. It was actually the first I was laughing since the drama began.

It always happens when the characters get to the palace. Six more episodes to drag out the palace melodrama! I am falling asleep waiting for Wuxin... good or evil.

It's the pretty eyes of his... but his bald head also looks nice. He was in and out of the makeup trailer in a flash. 🤭🤭🤭

Chong is just the average good intentioned prince. Unfortunately, the emperor of a nation needs a ruthless spine, to maintain power. Now we know where Bad Prince got his ruthlessness from. 😆😆😆
