A well written analysis of the situation! I thought I was the only one noticing the overload of villains and the sugar coated Blu. The business about Montgomery and the sugar went over my head.
πππ Mrs Quentin wore white makeup, to match her hair.
I thought she looked younger than Elise at the beginning. She was beautiful, but the stiff white hair detracted from her acting. She should have picked a darker shade. I could not figure if she was wearing a wig. The hair barely moved on her head.
Wow . Your review is a total justice to the drama and even the rating .Byun Ill jae was phenomenal .But this drama…
I wasted my time on this K-drama. I did not drop it, and watched to the end. When the villain was executed, my jaw dropped. I never saw this drastic ending in any K-drama.
I used to admire Jeong Bo Seok. I never imagined him pulling off a menacing dastardly role, such as Byun Il Jae. He was amazing as the evil villain.
This was the only drama that I watched in the last two weeks. I looked forward to every episode daily, despite the bad hair days (...Oliver, Victor, Xiaoyu, Mrs Quentin, Kesong), the irritating villains (...Elise, Boris, Xiaoyu, Mrs Quentin, Li Yan) , the bipolar Oliver, Elise, Boris, Xiaoyu, and the sycophants(Song Yiran, Dr Xie).
The loopholes in the plot were filled in with beautiful food. The transition scenes of street food preparation and the Bollywood flash mod dancethon were a waste of drama minutes.
They did not even confront their victim. Xiaoyu did not apologize to Kesong. Boris did not apologize to Oliver. Elise did not apologize to Oliver. Dr Xie did not apologize to Oliver.
am at ep 26, do Elise and the Dr get punished in any way? He didn't lose his licence at all?! It's already frustrating…
This is a perfect example of having to read between the lines...or scenes. I had no idea that she went to jail until she made a comment about sleeping better "inside"...which means "jail". As for Dr Xie, he was still treating Oliver, when Oliver recovered his eyesight.
