This was the only drama that I watched in the last two weeks. I looked forward to every episode daily, despite the bad hair days (...Oliver, Victor, Xiaoyu, Mrs Quentin, Kesong), the irritating villains (...Elise, Boris, Xiaoyu, Mrs Quentin, Li Yan) , the bipolar Oliver, Elise, Boris, Xiaoyu, and the sycophants(Song Yiran, Dr Xie).

The loopholes in the plot were filled in with beautiful food. The transition scenes of street food preparation and the Bollywood flash mod dancethon were a waste of drama minutes.

They did not even confront their victim. Xiaoyu did not apologize to Kesong. Boris did not apologize to Oliver. Elise did not apologize to Oliver. Dr Xie did not apologize to Oliver.

This is a perfect example of having to read between the lines...or scenes. I had no idea that she went to jail until she made a comment about sleeping better "inside"...which means "jail". As for Dr Xie, he was still treating Oliver, when Oliver recovered his eyesight.

Whenever she talked or cried, I zoned her out. Her spider legs did not help, either.

The flash mob scene was overdone. Were they waiting in the queue for the restaurant?

Boris found his true talent..dancing.

Another thing that fell through the cracks. I guessed it might be herbs to help with Oliver's health.

That's right. He told Kesong he was accompanying her to France, but he told Boris he would work with him on the cruise ship. Boris was leaving in a few days. Kesong would have found out sooner than later.

They glossed over these events.

He was going to work on a cruise ship, but he must hve missed Oliver. Oliver will need someone to take on Elise's former executive job. 😆😆😆

The director and writer probably thought it was irrelevant to clarify that she was in jail. It was glossed over. Ma Quentin would have found some means to get her only daughter out of jail sooner. I wonder if Ma Quentin was planning to merge and acquire Huang Shi's restaurant business in the future.

At the end, I am assuming that Boris was promoted to General Manager of Yuxuan. Mai should have been promoted to Executive Chef. Oliver should be Owner Chef. Kesong should be Specialty Chef.

Now I understand why it took 2 1/2 years to broadcast this drama.

I thought she was from London. Elise goes to Transylvania, to her vampire roots.

They created a Bollywood ending. I don't even see the need for the musical sequence/flash mob. I was waiting for Elise, Dr X and Ma Quentin to show up for the Dessert party.
