I just finished ep 40, and I am at a loss for words. The final scene is reflective of a Bollywood ending, as well. I just went along with the drama, not expecting a masterpiece melodrama. The food was good, and pretty.
At least, the vampire Elise and Dr X have gone off to Transylvania. She might have been in jail. She said she slept better "inside". I knew the Quentins were vampires. Victor cleaned up his wardrobe at the end...no more rags and eyeliner, but he kept the mop.
Yes! Mother's stiff white straw hair and pancake makeup, Victor's black straw hair bangs and heavy black eyeliner, cry princess Elise (...her hair looked stiff). Plus, they all act and think wierd.
Yeah if she found out that Ellie not only caused Oliver blindness but she is the reason that he lost his taste…

I'd love to see Boris turn into Knight to the Rescue. His redemption in ep 37 was so cringing. Actor/Boris seemed to age in the last few episodes. He looked younger in the beginning of the drama.
For me I still enjoyed the drama. Yes there are unnecessary subplots and drama. But the ml and SL scenes just…
The couplings, Victor/Bike Lady, Huang Shi/Mother Quentin, Song, Yiran/Chu Ting, Xiaoyu/Blu dragged the plot. They made Dr Xie, the SLS for Elise, who was SLS for Oliver. Yiran was SLS for Kesong for many episodes.
The only scenes that were well done, were Uncle Lin's restaurant. Kesong's parents become filler. Some of their conversations were boring. The Yuxuan restaurant workers were filler.
The Viki subbers must have jumped shipped, and went to MZTV to finish the mission. I switched from Viki to MZTV…
Yes! Things slow down pre and during Lunar New Year. I am also slowing down on the episodes. I was binge watching this drama daily for the last week. I watched episode 33 only today.
