I did not watch the drama alongside everyone in October 2024, so I missed the daily comments and the momentum buildup to the conclusion. I watched the drama almost one year later. I was curious about Hou Ming Hao, and I knew Chen Du Ling. Their acted like the long married couple. They were perfect for the roles of Zhao Yuan and Wen Xiao. In general, all the characters were cast perfectly. Even that annoying villain, who refused to go away.

I suspect that Guo Jing Ming is uncomfortable with romantic themes, but he knew how to pick the actors for the job, assuming he was involved in the hiring process.

My prediction is that Lester Lin will outshine his acting peers within ten years. He had the widest acting range in Fangs of Fortune, and he outacted all the adult actors.

I think Ying Lei deserved to be reincarnated. He was Chief Mountain God for a few weeks only? Really, Writers? I didn't like Li Lun in the beginning, but he grew on me. Zhao Yuan forgave him, and helped him redeem himself at the end. Young Zhao Yuan and Li Lun were brothers from different mothers. LOL

He deserves a raise. His acting skills outweigh many of the other actors'.

I can see Lester Lin becoming a popular actor when he grows up to adulthood. He was so convincing as the delulu, deranged Li Lun, he aged ten years. That's real acting. He might have been 12 or 13 when the filmed the drama.
