The climax between Emperor and Yan Ze, and Empress and Noble Consort was one of the best endings since the movie Curse of the Golden Flower with Gong Li and Chow Yun Fat. 😆😆😆

I predicted that Qan Wan would open up a School for Coroners at the end, and she did. 👏👏👏

The ending with Emperor and Yan Ze, and Empress and Noble Consort is vintage Shakespearean tragedy. 🤣🤣🤣 An excellent drama that kept me intrigued up to the final scene. It didn't even feel like 38 episodes. Acting, directing, editing, costuming, set design and most of the music were well done. They could have dialed back the BGM. Some of the music did not fit the mood of the scene, and sounded like the Kdrama BGM.

In some of the episode 38 scenes, Yang Shi Ze(...Yan Ze) rminds me of Jin Han. They have a similar profile.

If Emperor is fake, is his mother in on the plot? Were Yan Chi's father and the Emperor, brothers? Did he know that his brother is fake?

In previous dramas, I would get bored when they moved into the second arc, which was usually in the capital with royal melodrama. This drama has kept my focus in the capital.

I am glad they did not resort to one episode on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, like they did with other dramas.

I questioned that statement as well. He had never indicated that he wanted the throne.

I did wonder if the Prince was really blind.

This is the only character Zhan on the dramawiki page. I attached the link. There might be a hundred plus actors in the drama cast. This looks like a big production.

If he had committed those ghastly crimes five years ago, why didn't they execute him? Why would they lock him up in prison for life?

The sketch artists looks suspect. He is overacting when he sees the corpses. He might be the killer. Wan is wary of him.

That could have come up on conversation when they were eating the fish instead of disrupting the romantic moment. Did they leave the fish behind, uneaten?

I didn't like her character, and dropped it after eight episodes, i like the FL's acting work, but couldn't stick with the drama.

He must be a former MPOP singer. 😆😆😆

I knew it was him, all the time he was performing. LOL

There was a scene with Chi and Wan, and another character wearing blue. It might have been Bai Feng. I thought to myself, "Blue must be the color of the dressmaking day."

At least, Qin Wan has two grannies on her side. Grand Princess, and now Dowager Empress! That Noble Consort looks like she wants Dowager Empress, dead.
