The doctor might be killing the villagers, and draining their blood, to feed to his wife, who might be dead already. Her house looks very creepy. I hope Yan Chi arrives very soon.
Landi looks nothing like ZLS. She is just Li Landi! Gorgeous in her own way!
I think the last drama I saw was Dreaming...Qing Dynasty, which was a few years ago. Her face was rounder. You can see the same face when you stare at her long enough. Same smile and smiling eyes, too!

I didn't even recognize Landi Li until I was reading your comment. I knew she was in the drama a week ago, but I was so intrigued with her character's acting, that I forgot to refer to the castlist.
I watched 4 episodes and the FL is so childish and is already annoying me. Does she have a character development…
I dropped this drama at episode 10, a few years ago. I picked it up again yesterday, and after dropped it again, at episode 15. The twins are the most annoying, infantile characters. They act like the prince and princess of a costume drama.

Initially I dropped this drama at episode 1,0 a few years ago. I decided to watch it again. I made yesterday. I watched 1 thru 14, and the twins are the most annoying, infantile characters. I dropped it for the second time.
This was an amazing movie. Cinematography, music, directing, acting are on point. Huang Xiaoming showed us that he is not just a pretty face. I am glad that he took up the challenge.
I watched Xuan Zang about five years ago, and I wished Huang had dubbed his Indian language dialog. The production company tried to get a Oscar nomination for Foreign Film, was was bypassed by Hollywood. It deserved global recognition. Rating 8.5
I expected a lot but the movie is flat, boring, and Hyun Bin again shows how limited he is in his acting. Popular…
I have watched most of Hyun Bin's movies, and even made the effort to go to CVG Cinema to watch them. I just started watching Harbin online, but this one was painstaking. I ended up skipping 90% of the movie to get to the end. My final rating: 6
I watched this movie with casual interest. I watched it for Andy Lau, who I have loved for twenty years. It is a typical showbiz plot with self-absorbed talent aspiring for greatness, and achieving a deflated ego in the end. The movie received some positive feedback from western media for its satirical look at Showbiz, but it bombed at the box office in China. It was released during 2024 Chinese New year, which was shortsighted by the producers. You don't release a feel bad movie during the highest holiday in China. The dark side of showbiz is universal and superficial. The movie transcended the barriers of culture, language and casting. Andy Lau took a gamble on the project.
I ignored the drama when it was first broadcast in April 2025 even though I like the two leads, Ren Su Xi and Gao Wei Guang. I decided to watch it last week out of the blue, and binge watched it in four or five days. It was so riveting that I had to finish it promptly. It was a pleasant surprise to see the high production values in the acting, directing, writing, film editing, set design, costume (aka wardrobe) design, and music departments. An outstanding job done by the cast and crew. The minor actors did a realistic job. The younger children had no idea of the scope of the plot.
The only criticism is the zealous BGM that was not necessary to tell the story. The music in this drama should have been relegated to the opening credits and closing credits. The main purpose of the drama was to educate the Chinese drama viewing public of a pervasive crime in society. It is very unlikely that they would drop the drama, due to lack of music. In real life, we do not listen to music nonstop. Music is for entertainment purposes. While dramas are for entertainment purposes, the storyline is the driving force. C-drama directors need to wake up and smell the coffee, and put a reign on the music supervisor/editor.
