Cried my eyes out when Hae Jun's mum was on the floor. Had the emotional effect but i think the tears came from me remembering the OG of this adapted scene. OG definitely had a deeper more meaningful impact, characters were well portrayed and written, more realistic. This kdrama scene made me instantly want to rewatch the OG. Although im enjoying the lighter side of this kdrama it is still short of a masterpiece that is GA. I have to say this even if i appreciate kdrama's approach with this difference in angle/genre. JuWon's romantic feelings for Sanha was not executed nor written well, it was too sudden. I had high hopes this kdrama could pull it off and succeed framing this adaptation to have a smoother transition of non-blood sibling to lovers and cleaner Hae Jun - Ju Won bond but it fell abit short. It's a shame.

Jtyu - i think you need rewatch Go Ahead.

Jeongnyeon losing her voice for good is so painful to watch when i was tearing my hair off watching her stubbornly ruin her voice needlessly even after intervention after another. The ending better be good or i wont get over it myself.

Help! I'm falling in love with Ok Gyeong! The cast and their acting are truly amazing!

Gosh they dragged this happy ending reveal until the very very very end. Cruel! It would have been far more satisfying to see them in the future - their wedding , happily married life, kids, in Japan or Korea and their beautiful twinkling chemistry they have together. Really wish they gave us that. Except for the ending, the final episode was this mournful-slow-painful-crawling-misunderstanding-procession. i was getting angrier by the minute the happy ending didnt happen..... until the last minute that it did. I guess my consolation was it was a happy ending? Honestly I felt all the suffering Beni Jungo and us as an audience had to endure & suffer through this final episode was unnecessary. I didn't feel the "message/lessons" dragged out were necessary either. I was hoping Jungo wrote his heart out in the signed autograph he gave her - that was written on her desk. It would be beautiful if she believed in his love for her then reading his book. All that the writers wanted to convey could have been on his autograph note to her. I'll miss Jungo's voice when he calls her "Beni"! Its so filled with love its deafening. I also teared when he remembered and said the Keychains belong together - my heart squealed! I would rather see many happy Jungo Beni moments of their happy ending/love rekindled instead. After this few weeks of following this drama l'll miss Jungo and Beni very much.

Rewatching because of the kdrama remake. I cant even remember how many times but i still tear up and laugh and get emotional watching this masterpiece years after I've watched this as if its the first time. Such a heartwarming drama to stand the test of time. Still love this wonderful piece of art.

I dont think there is a right or wrong if we form our opinions either way - love or hate or in between. Different people have different taste, outlook, triggers and mindset, so they will obviously form their opinions the way they feel it. However I believe there are 2 things we should bear in mind. (1) This is the comment section for "Family by Choice" - a kdrama. (2) This is adapted from the original cdrama "Go Ahead". These are irrefutable facts. We should be mindful and respect everyone no matter if they are new watchers or watchers of both original and this remake. If we want to discuss something that might contain spoilers it's only respectful to use the spoiler function. Love or hate we can always discuss in a civil way.

Its natural to compare original with the remake especially an original that was hugely popular and beloved by many. Those of us who have watched the original cannot unsee and unknow what we already know. So please STOP asking us to stop comparing. And for those who haven't watched the original, for those of us who have - please lets use spoiler function when necessary so everyone can watch the remake as is.
