This drama synopsis sounds like something i wouldn't poke with a ten mile pole. But I'm tempted to watch it just for the ML. Is he bad bad or like deliciously bad?
Fun show! I like the humor but wish they didn’t include the South Prince for comic relief. He’s not interesting…
Same! I'm enjoying this more than I thought I would be when I stumbled upon it, but I find myself ff-ing every scene with the south prince and his maids.
One last thing that was still nagging at back of my mind by the end of the story,
Xiao heng mentioned in, ep 35 or somewhere around that point, that he would become Jiang Li's pawn from that point onward. And I still wonder which part of the whole scheme was planned by Jiang Li?
The whole team made a good call with that last minute bonus episode. Without it we would totally riot XD
Overall a fun drama to watch. There were inconsistencies, and unnecessary deaths. But at the end of the day, all debts were paid, revenge was served. If I could describe the one thing that made this drama charming, it would be the theatrics. Duke su and his dedication to his concepts, from his collection of fans to his various elaborate entrance poses. The actings, special effects, and the music, packaged together in a way that feels like a very elaborate opera. And everything fits perfectly with the whole 'being in a play' motif that ties A Li and Duke Su together in the first place. 8/10
I wonder why there are so many spoilers easily flying around here. Few months ago, i forgot to spoiler tag my comments on another drama's thread and when i came back to check on it, it was already hidden. So i used to assume there's some form of moderation in the comment section 🤔
Korea drama rate below 9 than it is likely bad. while chinese drama rate below 8 than it likely bad. kindly sad…
It's just a matter of different folks watching different types of dramas. People who watched certain dramas, either japanese, korean, or chinese, tends to stay within their comfort zones (not everyone, but mostly). These different groups of people, of course, would have different sets of standards to rate the drama. That's why it's always subjective, at the end of the day it's just a matter of preference!
