i really wanna know what the real namju is like
Same. I kinda feel bad for him knowing he's the only one of the mains to still be in the dark. His lines are so cheesy and his precious Ju Da probably doesn't like him either. Would he even like her if he was aware? Some food for thought...maybe he would fall for someone else (and would probably cringe at his stage lines haha)

Title Extraordinary You Spoiler
Baek Kyung as a character is emotionally exhausting...his mood swings give me serious whiplash. One moment, you feel sorry for him and see some improvements in his characterization (graveyard scene) then he gets back to his jackass ways (I understand that those new revelations confused the hell out of him but still he should stop being so hung up on his set-up)...drama writer seems dead set in making him the ultimate villain and the third wheel of this pathetic love triangle... Not saying I didn't see it coming but still I'm disappointed by this turn of events. I was hoping for a redemption arc (joining hands with self-aware characters in taking down the writer and changing their fates for example) *sigh* I'm now half expecting him to die/sacrifice himself in the end (he's probably the one that gave the order to kill Dan-Oh in the sageuk manhwa and when he will find out, he will have a hard time coping with that atrocious truth thus killing himself???)

Don't get me wrong, I love all the characters and I'm still very much invested in the story but I just can't give up on Baek Kyung. He is a jerk but in the shadow, he still show slight signs of vulnerability and each time it happens, I can't help but feel bad for him...that's why I know where he's coming from when he rejects his step-bro's support...while not at fault, he's the son of the woman he hates the most, the one he considers a home wrecker. The one that took his mother's place. That's understandable that he wouldn't warm up to this"new" family since his father had the gall to remarry on his mother's death day. That's still a painful memory and even though it's all scripted , it feels very much real for him (like his childhood memories with Dan-Oh)
I just wish he would deal with those new revelations in a less dramatic fashion. His tantrums and fits of anger are only tiring people out, making him unlikable and irredeemable.

Concerning the other characters, Ju Da is finally self-aware and she's rocking it! I was so rooting for her when she stood up for herself after the end of the stage and seeing her spray water on that bully was so satisfying!! Sae Mi needs to gain her self-awareness, I want to know if she has the same bitchy personality as her stage's counterpart...and if she's the same in the shadow, she needs to be call out on her shit!

OMG just saw! Totally agreed. Cozy drama + Lee Jae wook= such a dream !Also I hope LJW keeps on rising, oneday…
One downside though... SLS will be strong with this one:( Rooting for his success as well! After this one, hope he will get ton of offers as a main lead...he's definitely male lead material.

I'm quite sure this drama (and July Found By Chance) is inspired by Sophie's World by Jostein GaarderP.S. I support…
Same! #TeamHaru in the drama but #TeamLeeJaeWook in real life<3

I have some minor complaints about the latest episode. During the scene when Baek Kyung lashed out at Dan Oh over the birthday present. I think it was ludicrous of her to blame him for something he obviously couldn't control since it was happening during the stage. He wanted to apologize at once but he didn't get the chance (it was the same when Haru returned after disappearing, she was kinda harsh with him because he failed to remember her) I know where she stands after years of abuse but it all happened on stage, shouldn't she be more understanding knowing they're like puppets when on stage? She could have ignored it and left it at that (after all she didn't care that much in the past. Where is my spunky girl wiping her tears as soon as the stage is over?) She's a lot more patient/forgiving when it comes to Sae Mi who's as much a bully as BK imo (she might be a lovely/compassionate friend to her but she's just plain cruel to Ju Da. Shouldn't Dan Oh call her out on her behavior?) I know Sae Mi is not self-aware yet but would it be any different if she was? Double standards much?

Like I said before, BK is mostly a jerk to Haru in the shadows (because of jealousy, he's afraid of losing his spot...he's also confused about his 'new role' and it frustrates him) but he's a lot more nicer to Dan Oh now (his tone still sounds harsh and his temper is as nasty as ever but he's trying his best while interacting with her in the shadows)

That's why, I would rather see them work together to take down the writer instead of fighting each other. Aren't they all victims of his/her pen after all? Fluff is nice but not at the expense of other characters and story. #Teamhappinessforeveryonebutknowitwillprobablyendintragedy

lets talk about Lee Jae Wook killing it shall we?????????
He's so freaking good! I just can't get enough of him. He's slowly becoming one of my favorite actors. I'm planning to watch all his upcoming projects, that's how hooked I am.
Concerning EY, I love the OTP (they are cutie patooties) but my heart is aching for Baek Kyung...so much I can't rejoice in the 'celebrations' (fangirling/squealing over OTP cute moments)*sorry*
Writer is the true villain of this story, don't forget that. Baek Kyung is just as powerless as other characters. He's acting this way because of his predetermined set-up. He still might be a jerk in the shadows but mostly with Haru (petty jealousy)...with Dan Oh, he feels remorse as soon as the stage is over. That's why I have this slight hope they won't go as far as making him the big villain #Baekkyungdeserveshisownhappiness

It was already on my "Plan to watch it" list but with this new addition to the cast (Lee Jae Wook), it's now a must watch! Ladies, brace yourselves, this puppy is here to steal your hearts and slay your souls haha

Okay, whatever floats your boat...as the adage says: different strokes for different folks, I guess. No hard feelings:) Have a nice day!

Same! We have every right to find his character appealing. I'm #teamHaru for the romance and #teamBaekKyung for favorite character (I sure root for his redemption and happiness)

They're all just suffering from SLS, sucks for them lolNo matter what you're going through its not an excuse to…
I'm not suffering from SLS since I'm not shipping him with our heroine but individually, he's probably the most interesting/intriguing character so far... so unpredictable, I like that!

I'm drawing the conclusion it's just his character in this particular drama that you dislike not his skills as an actor. That just shows how good of an actor he is. One moment he makes you want to hate him, then he softens, you feel sorry for him and when he plays the nice guy (like in WWW), you just can't resist him (sorry for being carried away but that young actor really took me by surprise, he's just that good)

I'm in my 30s as well and I love it! Drama is a breath of fresh air. I tend to skip high school dramas nowadays (because you know I'm too old to enjoy these kind of plots anymore) but this one is an exception, it's a gem.

He was the best thing about this drama tbh. Him and Lee Da Hee saved me from dropping it. Main couple was a bore (and I like Jang Ki Yong, I even started it for him)
As for Lee Jae Wook, I think he's the revelation/rookie of the year...charismatic, charming and talented at such a young age (he wasn't my type either at first but his mature aura and good acting made me fall in love with him).... but I do respect your opinion .To each his own after all :)
I like Jung Gun Joo's performance as well but I need to watch more of his works before deciding if he's a keeper ;)

I agree his attitude is very off-putting...that's why I totally don't ship him with our heroine as I stated above (team Haru). He has way too much issues to deal with at the moment to even think about pursuing a relationship. Still, he's one unpredictable guy and is really a compelling character. I'm very curious about his next move...probably up to no good as always xD

As for Lee Jae Wook, he's sure a gem of an actor! Love all his micro-expressions<3 So young, yet incredibly talented!

I'm 100% team Haru for Dan Oh as well but I just can't ignore Baek Kyung...why? Because of Lee Jae Wook. Boy is so incredibly charismatic and charming that you can't possibly hate his character. Give the role to someone less talented and people would not even give him the time of day...all that to say I'm so ready for Baek Kyung's arc after watching the latest episode...but I also love Haru, he's like a prince charming, so handsome and sweet haha

Title My Country: The New Age Spoiler
I know they're both the main but before I start it I'd like to know who do you think will be the real protagonist.…
Yang Se Jong being listed first on the cast list means he's the main lead. Leading lady's heart already belongs to him after all and unless there's some death thrown in there, she should end up with him.
But Woo Do Hwan plays a huge role as well and his bromance with YSJ is 1000x more interesting than the main romance (it reminds me of Gaksital *nostalgia*) Watch it!
