Also it's so telling how fast people in this comment section are to put YR down or try to paint her as some backstabbing witch because of PREVIEWS btw (we didn't even see the episode) of her saying she wants to join the competition. We don't know the reason yet and I really don't think she's going to win (the writers have made it very clear JH is VERY pretty, like the prettiest girl from EP 1) so it's actually goofy how many of you are so hellbent on putting YR down "it would be so unbelievable if she won, oh she's gonna win bc she's the FL, so unrealistic" for a ep that didn't even air after all your yapping about "I wish this drama was a beautiful story about friendship and don't pit girls against each other, FEMINISM" blah blah blah. Like I have to laugh, you're not slick. Don't hide behind this "girls girl" bs and just say what you wanna say.

So many viewers seems to be hell bent on making one FL "victim" and another FL "villian" when they're just 20 somethings making mistakes, being petty and growing up in life. They both have helped each other numerous times (JH defending YR, YR covering up for her, JH breaking up with JP when she found out YR liked him, YR hiding the fact she likes JP in the past, and YR not telling JH about her psycho mom firing her so JH doesn't feel burdened, etc). Like I have to wonder if any of y'all even have friends? It's not a transactional "give and take." The obsession with keeping score and trying to put down one FL over another or cry about "so and so got done dirty" is pathetic atp.

The writers are not pitting the FLs against one another, they like the same guy, they both went for it and the guy made his choice. Now they're in the beauty pageant and they'll compete fair and square and that will be that. Like I'm not getting the uproar about "ruined friendships" or whatever. There's literally no perfect friendship where nobody feels envy, jealousy, pettiness. Those are not "toxic." It's normal emotions and depends on how both friends then try to resolve that (which the writer is giving us with the competition arc). Based on everythinng we've seen from them, their friendship is not going to get "ruined" over this. Seems more to me like the viewers are actually projecting themselves into the 2 FLs and pitting them against each other, acting like one of them dating JP is going to be some friendship ruining incident than the show doing so. Like if you just read the comments after the last ep and didn't watch the drama, you would think JH and YR had a fight where they slapped each other around or something lmao. They just had that honest convo and moved on like normal people.

JP is not depicted as a villian though? What drama are you watching? He's obviously the ML and depicted with sympathy. We even get scenes of his dad struggling, being sick, his family being a mess and that his mom left him lore. The writers are literally not depicting any of the three main characters as a villian. It's the comment sections who are overreacting imo.

OP doesn't have a problem with JH still liking him or going after him. Her knowing YR likes him but asking her to help her pursue JP is what OP has a problem with. I've always been a fan of JH (and the actress who plays her) but even I had to side eye her a bit at that scene. She basically took the cowards way out.

Instead of just saying "I know you like JP but I still like him and will go after him," JH did this weird backhanded thing where she's subtly telling YR off and claiming her territory, even trying to get YR to help her (so YR would feel guilty and accept). JH does know how YR feels, did you even watch the drama? That being said, I don't think its evil for JH to be a little petty. She's not a saint and allowed to feel jealous imo.

Yes! This a hundred times. People are mad the writers are keeping who the leads and main couples are vague but that's the fun of it. I'm so over dramas where the leads only have eyes for each other yet it's labeled "love triangle" and everything is predictable.

It's pathetic that "deserve better" for these 2 FLs means "getting the guy." And he's like so charmless lol. So obvious most commenters are in high school. Jeong Hee is literally the daughter/heir to a conglomorate now. She has "the world" already yet people are like "she has to get this random guy she only saw for a few days or her life is not complete."

Lmao why is every character acting so gagged by how much Jeonghee's appearance changed? At first I was like "it makes sense since she disappeared suddenly and appears only now" but her talk with Yeongsik "I wouldn't have recognized you if I saw you in the street, you have changed so much" and her saying "me too, I keep getting surprised when I look in the mirror" had me confused??

Sure her clothes are more expensive but her face, hair, makeup and everything is the exact same? They didn't even change the length of her hair or gave her a different hairstyle like Yeongrye, yet wants us to believe every single character is so floored by how different she looks, this is so funny.

I need Park Sodam and Byeon Woodeok in a drama together again. These 2 have too much chemistry.

The "your boyfriend is here" is obviously a teasing remark from Yeongrye's coworker with the dialogue in the previews clearly stating they are not dating. Yeongrye hasn't even confessed her crush to Jaepil yet.

Friend: "Rose Day? I guess this is another one of those days to confess your love? Maybe this is your chance to finally tell Jaepil how you feel?"

Yeongrye: "Jaepil? Where did that come from? No, it would just make things weird."

Another side character (maybe his step mom?) to Jaepil: "How long are you going to leave her hanging like this? Make your move, you fool."
"So what is Yeongrye to you? I mean is she more than a friend?"

A lot of side characters do see the potential romantic relationship they could have and keep pushing them together. There's definitely like a sweet relationship between them that could be read as "romantic" but Jaepil could be looking at it differently as platonic or starting to waver depending on interpretation imo. They have very much grown close as confidants and he invites Yeongrye to Med School Night to not get fined (and at the urging of his friends at the lab), but maybe there's something there even he's not aware of, who knows. Seeing the characters' true feelings unravel is the fun of watching dramas like this.

Lmao what are you even saying? The ML has literally dated the 2nd FL and now inviting FL to a "date". The 2 FLs both have only been looking at the ML. There's no "new kdrama rules" dictating the male leads love only one woman so stop with this incel nonsense.

Like Kim Dami's others works Itaewon Class and Soulmate plus the recent drama You and Everything Else all have the ML in love with 2 women.
