I want a remake for this drama with the new generation actors
China just made a remake. Men in Love 2023.

Yeah, dude, totally, what this melancholic exploration of loneliness, the fragility of human connection, the transience…
All we needed was to find out the male lead is actually the secret heir to a company and turn the second half of the drama turns into a corporate inheritance struggle story. ML's grandpa/father character then has a heart attack and his evil cousin/halfbrother/uncle plots to take over the company by bribing the board members but at the share holders' meeting, grandpa/dad makes a grand entrance in a wheelchair (with the ML pushing him of course) declaring that the company belongs to the ML. We totally need this lmao. Please watch kdramas for that.

I do agree that some cdramas can be painfully boring but this one was a great slice of life melodrama that didn't need grand plot twists or birth secrets.

Interesting point of view! The lack of conflict stymied quite a few cdramas from living up to my expectations.…
Admist a snowstorm of love was seriously too boring. I like my cdramas without dumb murder mysteries or inheritance struggles and most of them are great in making mundane everyday slice of life plots seem interesting. Amidst a snowstotm of love was just a new level of watching paint dry. I dont think this drama could be conpared to that ssnooze fest at all. And that boring drama is definitely not a good representation of romantic chinese dramas.

Obviously the FL's mother. Did you even read your own comment?

I'm new to cdrama, more familar w korean & thai industry, so can people more familar with Chinese tv industry…
They're more similar to Korea where depending on how well two actors get along in real life, they'll decide to star together again. I don't think ive ever seen the more popular "traffic" actors paired together multiple times that often (Bai Lu and Xu Kai being the exception lol). Others are max 2 times at most. Nowhere like Thai lakorns where there are set deals in place or like the Philippines where the actors will literally start dating in real life lol. I feel like back in the 2010s, in the days of Love Yunge and Bu Bu Jing Xin, this was more common with Jaywalk actors starring in dramas together or Hu Ge and Cecilia Liu being in a bunch of projects otgether. This was when the cdrama industry was still growing and not as big and polished as it is today so it was more common to see the same faces in the same projects. Nowadays there are so many stars and up and coming actors that it is easier to have new and fresh pairings.

The cdrama industry too has improved immensely in terms of storytelling and gained a solid audience globally so they do not need to depend on few popular actors and ships to attract viewers. I feel that smaller industries like Thailand and the Philippines need the incentive of an already popular ship to draw in people beacuse they don't have a dedicated fandom and international reputation like China , Korea, and Japan do with their dramas. Not that this is a bad thing. Repetitive pairings of popular actors and ships are very common in fledgling industries. It was the same with Hollywood during its early days, Ginger Rogers & Fred Astaire, Humphrey Bogart & Lauren Bacall starred in over 5+ movies together. Popular pairs were good at drawing in moviegoers without extra advertising. Same with Korea also in the 2000s. Seems to be how everyone starts out.

Title Lovely Runner Spoiler
I'm surprised this show is not doing that great with TV ratings. I wonder if its because koreans are boycotting…
No?? What are you talking about? The ML did not kill himself. He was murdered after a mysterious figure rang his doorball. This is obvious if you watched the first episode and its not even a spoiler. Theres nothing similar to Jong Hyun so please stop making up conspiracy theories. The only thing this is similar to are the millions of other trime travel youth dramas. That's prorbably why its not doing well with TV ratings. Theres been so many Asian dramas with the theme of the FL time traveling in order to save the ML from death. Shining For One thing, A Time Called You. It's overdone at this point. We even had the reverse situation with Twinkling Waternelon where the ML has to time travel to save the FL . All of them are inspired by the hit Taiwanese drama One Day Some Day whcih was the OG timetravel angsty youth show.

It's actually doing very well, competing with Nothing Uncovered which has better and more well know veteran actors. Both dramas are neck to neck in the Monday Tuesday time slot. Most people are watching Queen of Tears (duh starpower) and Beauty and the Dr. Romantic, a daily drama which is always going to have a guaranteed audience in Korea amongst the ahjummas. Chief Detective is also a popular drama bc its not purely a romance and appeals to a lot of people. Lee Jehoon being the leading man also gives it a lot of advantage. Considering that both leads of this drama has been in some questionable dramas prior to this and the plot is a cliche, it's actually doing better than I expected. Which I'm glad about bc i love them both and followed them since Sky Castle and Record of Youth. I'm just sick of this constant mention of Jonghyun and any other idol who has comitted suicide when that isn't even the plot of this drama? Worse are the people who use their deaths for some dumb conspiracy theory about ratings or release dates.

Please stop spreading misinformation. This isn't even the first drama to talk about the idol industry or celebrities' mental health. This is just disrespectful to the deceased. Let them rest in peace.

In real life, it's the men that are allowed multiple women while calling any single girl with a social media"for the streets." Let us just have this man. It's called escaping one's reality and living in delusion. That is literally the point of many cliche romance dramas. Do you think we're watching them for the masterful writing and award winning acting?? These repetitive, badly written dramas with mediocre acting by pretty people are our escape. Guys got their porn and this is ours. At least the people acting in these dramas are doinghem voluntairly and out of their genuine want to be an actor, not human trafficking victims and desperate single mothers like the adult media industry.

....Easily explained by, Disney highlly likely having THE SAME graphic designer/design team designing for multiple…
The same graphic design doesn't meanthey should all look similar though? It's so uncreative. Moving, the Impossible Heir, and Blood Free all have the same designs even though they're not even related to each other. Or maybe Disney wants to make their Korean dramas all part of the "corrupt rich people fighting for power" multiverse now that Star Wars have been flopping lol.

Even if the same person designed it, they could at least repeat a creative design. These look like if someone typed in "give me a cliche poster for a modern thriller kdrama about power struggles" onto ChatGP . Looks cheap and lowkey giving "graphic design is my passion but i can't design so i just used a Canva template" vibes.
Lily Alice Apr 20, 2024
Is it just me or do Disney+ produced kdramas have similar designs?? Like the poster for blood free loooks really similar to the Impossible Heir which was just airing a few weeks ago also on Disney?? Seems like a weird choice to make your two Korean dramas about business and company struggles air back to back with similar posters. Now this one might be a stretch but the Blood Free poster also kind of reminds me of Star Wars?? As in I can definitely see the poster being about a new Star Wars show if they put in a space ship in the background and replaced the Korean actors with American ones.

This accusation sounds so stupid, someone slapped you for an hour plus and you didn't do or say anything since…
Since this first accuser, there have been even more victims coming out, several of whom already made accusations against her long before Marry My Husband. She's been a flop for the majority of her career only to become famous because the character she's playing is her IRL so despite rumors and accusations against her made in the past, they were ignored because no one cares about a flop.

THIS IS NO LONGER A SPECULATION. SHE IS A SCHOOL BULLY!!

"Song offered to sit for an interview with JTBC but later abruptly canceled it, according to “Crime Chief.”

She was so confident that she could shut this man up who she beat and scarred for life and wanted to actually appear on JTBC's program and prove her innocence. ONLY MORE AND MORE VICTIMS HAVE COME OUT. So girlie backtracked and refused to appear knowing she was gonna get gagged.

Song’s agency, Kingkong by Starship Entertainment, verified earlier on Tuesday that the actor had been “expelled from Banpo High School due to school violence.”

Kingkong also confirmed that Song “was involved in an incident” where her deskmate was bullied. The agency said that the event led to Song's expulsion, but also claimed that the actress “was not the one who assaulted the victim.” Song's agency vowed legal action against the informant and “Crime Chief” after Tuesday's episode aired."

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS! Her agency has confirmed she did bully and get expelled from high school due to school violence. And before you're like "oh but she was just a teenager" as if teenagers haven't literally killed their classmates in several different countries and gotten off scot free, she never fixed her evil behavior. Even after she became an actress under JYP, she continued to fat shame and abuse younger actresses.

This shows she had never reformed her attitude and only bought her violent evil mindset from high school to the workplace.

"Song, whose real name is Kim Mi-sun, debuted under the stage name “Kim Byul” in 2003 and began using Song Ha-yoon in 2012. She is known for her roles in the TV series “Marry My Husband” and “Fight for My Way” (2017) as well as the film “Intimate Strangers” (2018)."

My initial thought was why did her former classmates not bring this up when ‘Fight For My Way’ kdrama came out because it was really popular back then? Then upon further reading, she was not using her real name, a new stage name for her acting career. She purposefully changed her name several times to evade her victims which shows she never showed remorse or attempted to apologize. She recently cried in Knowing brows thanking people for letting her live her passion after her 20 year long flop career and that clip went extremely viral. That's how one victim found out about her. Imagine seeing your bully beautifully crying as if she was an innocent soul and did nothing wrong.

Even more allegations coming out dating 2021, 2018. 2015. Nobody has bothered speaking up for her; instead, more and more negative revelations are surfacing.

"Song Ha-yoon was 'forced to transfer' from high school for bullying, agency confirms.

Multiple people have accused actor Song Ha-yoon of having beaten up her fellow students in high school, including one who claims to have perpetrated a violent incident alongside the actor. JTBC’s current affairs program “Crime Chief” (2014-) reported on Tuesday that Song had been expelled from high school in 2004 for beating fellow students.

The program reported that Song, along with two friends, assaulted a female peer, leaving her hospitalized with serious injuries that took four weeks to heal completely. A woman claiming to be one of Song's two accomplices appeared on the show, saying that “it cannot be denied that [she] participated in the assault.”

“If Song Ha-yoon denies it, this would dismiss everyone’s faults. This will not do,” she said.

The report also included a follow-up to Monday’s episode, in which an informant claimed the “Marry My Husband” actor had “slapped [him] across the face for 90 minutes” in 2004, when he was in his second year and Song was in her third year at the same high school. Song's agency denied the accusation shortly after the episode aired, claiming the actor did not know the informant.

The informant responded in Tuesday's episode that there was no way the actor did not know who he was. “If she did not know me, why would [she] have offered to pay for all expenses if I went to Korea, or have reached me all the way to the United States? It doesn’t make sense,” he said.
