All the kdrama tropes over in 6 episodes. I'm curious what the writer is going to write in next 10 episodes. No way the two senior actors were going to accept the roles if their roles were so straight forward

This is going to be one single story not individual stories only one case. Nothing official but I've heard that this story is inspired from a former judge. like throwing shade on real incident that happened in korea about a corrupt judge and her assistant. Inshort it is a satirical throw on failed law system and politics of korea loosely basing it on an imprisoned judge. I commend the bravery of these actors for accepting it. If you are familiar with Lee jun ki personal life you will know Lee jun ki was really a victim of the same corrupt government and media I really commend his guts. So yes this is not going to be amazing like witches courtroom. It is the same old story which happens regularly and just happened last year in south korea

have you people heard of the news about lee joon gi and 81 other public figures blacklisted for not agreeing with the past government (2008 to 2017). they banned these people from appearing on movies and and mainstream dramas and other shows for past 9 years and also created a commitee to block them spread disgusting rumours about them also drag them down if they ever become ever become influential on people. its been all around the korean news. its somethng which should be titled as breaking news and trending news but not many people even know of it

well not only his name but also other actors and actresses and many people and recently it was revealed that some really disgusting things were done to taint the image of one other actor on the list well they arestill investigating.im going to post my first comment on his home page so atleast people will know what happened.

well of 82 people 52 directors of film and shows, the most notable name for international viewers like us would be park chan wook the director of oldboy and the handmaiden also the producer of snowpiercer. influential artists authors , presenters i dont think people outside korea are much familiar with them even im not familiar with those names and many of them are much seniors . singers 8 and actor and actresess 8 only those influential before 2010 are on the list so among actors lee joon gi is the youngest 35 yrs and atresess kim gyu ri - 38 she is known for film portrait of a beauty

ironically no the more im searching the more digusting things are comming out LOL. not even the media is all pure people are even suspecting his absence from movies, non main stream dramas, nominations in award shows, sudden military enlistment, dating news, absence from variety shows for so many years then after he appeared on variety shows he was suddenly dragged down by media everything everything, media reports about him everything OMG. not only him but also about other celebrities. only one incomplete article on ALLKPOP but no one even gives attention to it sadly.

i know right thats why i said procedrals are new in korean entertainment they are more habituated to one case for 16 episodes. you wont believe me there is a prcedural drama in india called CID which started in 1998 and is now in its 17 season i guess there are many dumb moments but it still runs thats the speciality of procedurals

no they are going according to the main source just mixing up the episodes, even in original the stories just pop up and you dont even get familiar with the criminals or victims to feel deeply for them,but the show slowly holds its foot after 8 to 9 episodes when you see the team like a family and start working like one mind to catch the criminals and over multiple seasons their bond becomes more stronger, the original also got criticised when it started airing but soon people started loving it.well i agree with kate that some times it feels dumb to see that stupid mistakes considering it is being remade after 12 years, right now the characters feel like they are individual fingers not a fist. almost in 2015 i heard that this remake was happening and they are trying introduce multiple season format, and the contract was made to create it close to original, and seeing the little promotions and seems the cost involved is also low and odd airing scedule i dont think they are expecting it to be a big smash hit, it feels like they are experimenting to introduce it to korean audience, they dint even sell it to legal portals where international viewers can watch it. like you can see aside from amazing line up of leads even the villians and victims are respected korean actors, if the series is a hit well and good i think they will continue with creating another season or if its a miss the cast is such that it wont effect their career. but i sincerely wish they stop doing dumb mistakes that ruins the mood of show. only difference from its original is the mix up of episodes

i know stranger is great drama but why compare two dramas which are completely different yes this may not be as great as stranger, but its nowhere ridiculous. well you dint see that tandem between characters in first two episodes because they are strangers and it seems more realistic. it s not a drama about cleaning corruption and the murders related to it. it is a one episode one case drama focusing more on criminals. yes first episode has some editing problems that is the only problem this one had. well if you are expecting one long alongated case which is spread for 16 episodes then this show is not for you. its a fast and furious mode one episode one case format and the characters are still in the process of learning and trusting each other. dont diss another drama because you like other drama better. may be you should quit watching it because they are not going to spoonfeed each and every action of every one. neither in the original nor here

actually i dont see any difference here in characters from original, in the biginning ried had the exact same amount of lines as of the original, i found him interesting only after i saw 8 to nine episodes when he started showing more depth. till then i thought he was just okay. only one thing missing here is the little flirting hehhehe but i think their bond will increase soon as they are together and episode three already shows they got close

so the two pds could not come to agreement and clashed and ruined the first episode. but its a disadvantage to other staff. hope now the one remaining PD can do it good

yup US version was much more rushed and faster. when this drama was announced i specially searched and watched it. and at first two episodes i thought whats so special about this why is it so popular but after i watced five or six episodes you kind of become familiar with characters and and be like whats the next case and the story ends in one case one episode, it is rushed even more,people who dont know original better decide for themself

because some people rated it 1 even before it started hahaha

yup he was cast as main and even the photo shoot was done. you can see him in the same poster like min ho. but military notice came and he sent the request to postpone it but he was not given the extention so he dropped out unfortunately. atleast you were not halucinating because he was in resident evil hahaha

well i have to agree that young ones could not carry the look like lee joon gi and also had little problems with pronunciation pecially ji soo speech was awkward. but still worth awatch for joon gi LOL
