i think because gongill was such a complex, unique and very difficult to portray, he never got a chance to portray a that difficult character. such characters come ones in a generation in the film and will be remembered as long as korean industry still exists. though all his character portrayal are excellent gongill just tops it and wang so comes close. i actually want him him to act a difficult role like gongil once again

may be you are seeing him for the first time i guess.even i never took notice of him earlier. the male lead was the heart and star of the show you dont find him attractive at first sight but he grows like addiction because of his acting, you will find like your watching a piece of art. i suggest you give it a try. many people are saying it was the most iconic character they have ever seen in korean dramaland. iLOVED the chinese version which i watched long ago. i Loved the korean more, they changed almost every thing except the basic 8-4-14. hahaha........ hope you get what i mean
