I orginally though Yu Tian would be one of the leads for Yi He but I also love the bond they share so I don't mind it staying like that.

Kinda sad that this Sam business hasn't even ended yet. I thought we would get this over and done with earlier on so Chen Nan could pursue her earlier on but guess not. I just hope they don't drag it for too long as this drama is only 36 episodes.

I'm shipping Ren Ran so badly with the guy who likes her at work, I already pretty much know she won't end up marrying Lu Hao because of spoilers so I really hope her new romance starts soon as well.

Out of all the girls, I definitely admire Karen and Dingding the most, I feel like the are the most rational when it comes to love and the relationships around them and they know when to end it. Overall, more than the love stories going on, I really admire and respect the strong friendship they have going on, I'm always attracted to these type of dramas which represent the strong bond between friends.

(Btw damn that doctor is really handsome, I would also stay in the hospital just to stare at him)

The first episode was really good!!
The OST so far is killing it and I love Victoria's voice when she narrates in her dramas.
Hope this is similar to Nothing But Thirty because I got great vibes off that.

Not confirmed but the ending does say to be continued by the characters so I assume there will be one.

A SEASON 2??? I'M SO EXCITED. I honestly can't wait, this drama was sooo good and I can't even express in words how much this hit me and how much I learnt from it. AN ABSOLUTE GEM!

Tbh I was the opposite and I like Nothing but Thirty more (from previous comment). However, I really like this one two. I think especially watching them both at the same time, you really learn the different realities of those both in their 20's and 30's and their both wholesome in their own way. I really recommend both and even I dropped Nothing But Thirty before picking it up again, so maybe you'll like it if you pick it up again. More than anything, I'm just glad that we got two really amazing dramas at the same time. Usually I never find many good ongoing dramas that stay just as great from start to finish.

Tbh I really liked it myself but I did drop it at Ep 6 when it was airing. I can definitely say it's a drama that really makes your blood boil (or for me it did at least). Sometimes it's a bit crazy as well as in there's so much going on. But I do recommend it, at least maybe give the first 5 episodes a try. You can also always look at reviews to get a better view of what others thought as well.

Wow, I'm so glad to hear that it is popular in China too. I don't know how to check such things since I'm an international viewer.

Very surprised by this 9/10 rating, usually most chinese dramas don't get such high ratings on MDL. Hopefully it sticks through until the end.

I agree, they were both at fault. Especially within a relationship, you cannot say that only one person was at fault. A really important quote Gu Jia mentions to Xiaoqin is how "One doesn't ask and one doesn't tell", something along those lines and it's very true. They both failed to communicate with each other and that's very important within a relationship.

If they do get back together, I hope they actually tackle all these problems on such as communication and other things otherwise there's no point. If not then I think they will learn a lot from this relationship which hopefully allows them to be more understanding in their new ones.

Oh sorry, I realised that I didn't make it clear enough but I mean that I wanted Ni Ni to end up with her Ex Barista Boyfriend, not the other one. And I totally understand what you mean with ZZ, I was watching her facial expressions especially when they were in the car together and was laughing because she seems so uninterested in him.

For Gu Jia, I really hope they do divorce because it's unforgivable that their cheating and the girl full approached him knowing well that he was married. Maybe I've been too absorbed with "The World of the Married" that I feel like she might not divorce and her son might end up getting badly impacted whether she does divorce or not.

YES DEFINITELY, I'm also watching both and I dropped this for a while but the ratings spiked up on MDL so I decided to give it another try. Might even like it better than twenty your life on.

Is it just me or do I feel like 10 episodes may not be enough to wrap everything up? Most of what is said in the synopsis hasn't even happened yet.

For Gu Jia, I see her story getting wrapped up within the next 10 episodes. I would love to see her get divorced because my blood has been boiling ever since her husband started cheating. However, I have a bad feeling that they probably won't because divorce is not as easy as it seems. I feel like she might choose to no get divorced because she doesn't want to ruin her image of a perfect family and especially because this will make it worse for her son as he grows up.

For Ni Ni, I thought the guy she was dating in the first half was definitely the one she was going to end up with. However, it does say that she does get married and realises the difference between her partner after marriage. I don't see this being wrapped up in the next 10 episodes at all unless they rush it. I really hope it's not the Zhang Zhi guy because I don't like him haha. I thought it would be her ex boyfriend because of one of the photos but they don't even contact each other anymore so not sure. Plus the recent episode makes it seem like she really will get married to Zhang Zhi because of her family situation. NOOOOOO.

For Xiao Qin, it says that her book becomes a major hit and she becomes the breadwinner of the family? But she's already divorced either way and even if they get remarried, I highly doubt they can wrap this up in 10 episodes.

The only explanation I see is them extending the drama (which I absolutely would love) or them rushing it. Please tell me if the synopsis here is not accurate, otherwise I'll go crazy trying to figure out everything haha.

I have also been in the biggest k-drama slump for quite a while, everything nowadays just doesn't feel the same. To those in similar situations, I recommend Chinese romance dramas more than anything (especially the high-school ones). Ever since I discovered them, I have not been able to go back to romantic k-dramas (with some exceptions).

Oh really? I must've completely missed this scene then. I don't remember it at all. I was quite confused with the jump they had on their relationship from episode 2 to 3.

I'm a bit lost as to how she broke up with her boyfriend? In episode 2 they seemed happy together and then suddenly in episode 3, she throws away the calender of him and her? Also from the preview, he seems to be with another girl. Did he possibly cheat?

As someone who has seen so many gender-benders where the guy dresses as a girl, it's so different to finally see one with the opposite. Absolutely living for Kim Soo Hyun's short hair and the drama poster. The first episode was much better than I expected it to be and hopefully I don't end up dropping it like many dramas I've watched this year.

Okay thanks, I think I may also give both of them a try. I have watched Ode to Joy but I left it due to its length but it was actually pretty good so I might get back to it soon.

All three dramas are based off a novel Zi You Ji Guang called the 'Gentleman' Trilogy. The first two dramas in the series were 'To be a Better Man' (2016) and 'Mr. Right' (2018). Mr. Fighting is the third and final series of this trilogy. I think all of them are separate stories though so you don't have to watch it in order.
